Emma sat alone at the campfire, warming her frozen hands; everyone else had already gone to sleep. Baelfire, Hook, Regina, Snow White and Prince Charming. Even Rumplestiltskin, usually so vigilant, had fallen to slumber. He refused to trust the Cheshire Cat, now that she had an alliance with Pan, but admitted that it was possible that she was using him for something. Emma didn't think so; she'd seen the look in the magician's eyes when she had stumbled upon the battlefield. It had been a look of terrified horror, one that couldn't possibly had been faked. She was in love with Pan; there was no mistake. And he was in love with her, if that unconditional protectiveness was any indication.

She was jolted out of her thoughts by a slight rustling of branches from above, and looked up to see a small, jet black cat sitting on the branch of a tree nearby.

"Cheshire?" The cat rolled her grey eyes, a surprisingly human action.

"Who else would it be?" she hissed, wisely keeping her voice low. "Pan can't shapeshift and the Lost Boys don't have any special abilities that come close to mine." The Saviour glanced round the camp to check if everyone was still asleep, before returning her attention to the she-cat.

"What are you doing here?" she whispered in response.

"I came to tell you that Henry's doing alright, before it all goes to hell," the assassin replied calmly. "But Peter's plans for him are not so positive." Emma's blood ran cold.

"What do you mean?" she queried hesitantly. "What's going to happen?"

"Peter is scheming to use Henry to save his magic," the cat stated matter-of-factly. "The truth is, his immortality is running out. He needs Henry's heart to be able to keep it."

"What will that mean for Henry?" the Saviour asked, not entirely sure if she wanted to know.

"Death," Cheshire told her bluntly, quickly improvising her next sentence when she saw Emma pale. "But there is a way to save both of them. It's something I've been working on for quite some time now, but I'm still not certain if it will work. Either way, I need your help." The Saviour only had one answer to that:

"What do I need to do?"

Cheshire took her leave of Emma before dawn broke across the sky, both of them glad that the assassin had gone to see the Saviour before it all went to hell.
