You were at the mall looking for a present for your brother's birthday. You were gonna ask your other siblings to come along to help, but they were all busy so you had to come alone.

You saw your brother's favorite clothing store and walked inside.

Maybe I'll find something good in here, you thought.

As you were looking around, you noticed a tall guy with brown hair and hazel eyes looking at you. You thought he was really cute. The next time he looked at you, you smiled at him and he smiled back.

He had a very gorgeous smile.

Just then you saw a black and white jacket hanging on in the back of the store. Your brother mentioned he needed a new jacket, so you headed over to the back and took the jacket off the rack. It was a nice jacket and looked like something your brother would really like. And better yet, it was the last one.

It's perfect. I think I'll get this for him.

You turned to leave, but you bumped someone.

"Oh sorry," you said.

You looked up and saw a boy with dark hair standing in front of you. He looked about your age. He smirked when you made eye contact.

"Hey pretty girl. What's up?" he asked.

"Just buying a present for my brother," you said, trying to be polite.

"You know I was kinda looking at that jacket too," the boy said.

"I'm sorry but this is the last one. Maybe you can find one in a different color," you said.

The boy reached out and touched the jacket.

"I know. But I wanted this one. I got an idea, you give me this jacket and you can pick a different one, and I'll pay for it," the boy offered.

But you didn't want that. You knew this jacket was perfect for your brother and he would like it a lot.

"Sorry but no. I have already decided on this one. Get out of my way," you said, now annoyed, and tried to walk around him.

But the boy blocked your path.

"Okay. You can have that jacket if you kiss me," he said.

"What?! No!" you exclaimed, and tried again to go around him. But he stepped out in front of you again.

"Oh come on, you're so pretty. I would love to get a kiss from you."

"Leave me alone!" you said and tried once again to go around him. No matter how hard you tried to go around him, he blocked your way so you couldn't get away.

"Kiss me and I'll let you leave," the boy said.

"If you don't get out of my fucking way, I will get someone to make you get out of my way," you snapped.

"Ooh you're feisty," the boy said and took a step towards you. "I like that."

He put an arm around you and you tried to break free. But his grip was too strong.

"Let go!" you practically shouted.

"Kiss me first," said the boy, leaning in close.

"Someone help me!" you shouted.

Unfortunately, there wasn't many people in the back of the store and you were afraid that no one would come to help you in time.

The boy was only inches away from your face when you heard someone yelling.

"Get away from her!"

You looked up and saw the cute guy from earlier, running towards you. He shoved the boy off of you, and the boy hit the ground hard.

"You better leave her alone right now or else!" the guy snapped, making the boy quickly get up and run out of the store.

"Are you alright?" the guy asked you.

"Yeah I'm alright. Thank you so much for saving me," you said, looking at the ground.

"Of course. That boy needs to learn how to treat a girl with respect. I'm Jack by the way."

The guy held out his hand, and you shook it.

"Y/N," you said.

"I hope this doesn't sound weird since we just met and all, but you have a gorgeous smile," said Jack.

"It's not weird at all! Thank you. So do you," you said, feeling your cheeks get hot.

"Thanks!" said Jack.

"Well I better go pay for this," you said holding up the jacket. "I'm getting this for my brother's birthday."

"That's so sweet of you," said Jack. "It's a nice jacket."

You and Jack talked while walking to the counter. You two continued to talk even while you were paying.

As you were leaving, Jack called your name and you turned to him.

"Maybe we should hang out sometime," he said.

You smiled and nodded.

"I would love that," you replied.

"And tell your brother I said happy birthday."

You smiled at him again.

"I will."
