I turn off my alarm and get up quickly. I go into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.

My phone rings and I rush to answer it, "Hello?"

"I'm outside~!" Taehyung sings. "Hurry up~!"

He's outside?

"What are you doing here so early?" I ask. "I barely just brushed my teeth."

"Well, hurry!" He says. "I'm gonna take you to school before I go to work."

"Okay, okay," I say then hang up.

I walk back into the bathroom to check myself in the mirror. I see my makeup on the sink, basically begging me to put some on. I cave in and do my eyebrows and put on mascara.

A couple minutes sacrificed wouldn't hurt.

I grab the leftover spaghetti and stuff it into my backpack before heading outside. Taehyung was in, yet, another one of his cars. This car is a pearl color and had a T-looking logo. Its lights look really cool. I get in a shut the door.

There goes that familiar scent again. God, trying to figure it out is killing me.

"Good morning, cutie pie," he says and kisses my cheek. "How'd you sleep?"

"I slept okay," I say. "I'm a little tired."

"My poor baby," he says, pulling out of the driveway. "You wanna tell me where to go?"

"Get out of the neighborhood and take a left," I say.

His mood is way different from what it was the last time we talked.

I look at the clock and it's 8:26 AM.

"What time does class start?" Taehyung asks.

"Nine o'clock," I say. "We'll probably get there in five minutes."

"Wow, so quick," he says.

Suddenly, he does a U-turn.

"Where are you going?" I ask.

"Let's get something to eat!" He says. "I'm starving, jagiya."

Hey, I know that word!

Wait...

I try to speak Korean, "(Korean) Can you understand me?"

His eyes widen, "(Korean) Wah! When did you learn Korean?"

"(Korean) Yesterday!" I say. "Is it okay?"

"It's okay," he says and laughs. "Wow, you're amazing."

"(Korean) Thank you!" I say.

"Oh, I know why it sounds weird," he says. "You sound too formal. You can speak informally to me, I don't mind."

"I only learned how to speak in a formal manner," I say. "I guess it sounds kinda off."

"It's fine," he says. "Just keep learning and you'll probably speak better than me."

He pulls into a drive-thru of an unfamiliar restaurant.

"You like bagels, right?" He asks.

I nod, "Just get me anything."

He sticks his head out the window and talks for a good two minutes straight.

What is taking so long?

"Great, thank you," he finally says and moves to the next window.

"Forty-six, ninety-seven," the lady says.
