#14 - Picking Names

Michael:

"This is so hard." You huff, throwing the book on the floor.

"C'mon babe, we can't give up now." He says softly, rubbing your back.

"But nothing seems right. I either don't like the name or it doesn't match Clifford." You say tears in your eyes.

"Shh baby. Its ok we'll find one soon." He hushes hugging you.

Picking a name for your unborn child was harder than you thought, nothing seemed right. It had to be right, it had to match Clifford and it had to be one that you both liked, which was hard. You and Michael just couldn't agree on a name, you kept going through every name in the baby book you'd bought a few days ago, but none of them felt like the name you wanted your little boy to have for the rest of his life.

You and Michael sat in silence for a while, both unintentionally thinking of a name.

"I've got one." he whispers.

"So have I." you whisper back, smiling. "Really?" he says letting go of you.

"Yes but you go first." you giggle.

"Ok, so I was thinking about maybe we could call him, Daniel?" Michael asks.

"I was thinking exactly the same!" you laugh.

"seriously?" Michael laughs.

"yeah!"

"So we're going with Daniel?" He asks.

"Daniel Clifford." you smile widely. "Its perfect."

You gently press your lips to his, hugging him tight.

Luke ;

"I literally cannot find any names." You sigh, sitting beside Luke.

You'd been looking on the internet for baby names, Luke had tweeted out about you looking for names and some fans had replied with baby name websites. Some of them were good but nothing seemed right. You wanted two names that, weren't that common but still fitted with hemmings. It was hard than you expected.

"Not any at all?" he frowned.

"None of them seemed right." you say.

"How about I send another tweet?" Luke suggests.

"Okay." you smile.

He takes his phone out if his pocket and opens the twitter app.

@Luke5SOS: we're having so much trouble finding baby names, any ideas? #hemmobabies

He gets millions of replies within a few seconds. He scrolls through the replies, reading every one.

He favourites a few and follows a few fans, this makes you smile he cares so much for his fans. You look lean your head on his shoulder, reading the replies too.

"Poppy, Charlotte, Emma.." Luke reads, still scrolling.

He then stops, seeing a tweet.

@hemmosnuggle: @Luke5SOS you'll never see this but i always imagined one of your kids being named Autumn idk why it suits you guys :)

He retweets and favourites her tweet, he then looks up at me.

"Yes." you nod, agreeing on Autumn.

You thought this was a lovely name, you imagined calling your daughter for dinner, her name being called out in school, you just smile brightly.

He follows the girl before going back to scrolling through the replies, after a few tweets we see another one.

@Luke5SOS you should use my name 😏

He goes onto her profile and sees her name. Sophie.

"I like it." You say.

"Me too." He smiles before following the girl and favouriting her tweet.

So you'd both decided on Autumn and Sophie Hemmings.

Ashton ;

"Ash, i completely give up." you huff sitting beside him.

"With what babe?" he says, turning off the tv focusing all his attention on you.

"Names for this one." you sigh, rubbing your small bump. "Its not as easy as it sounds, it has to be a good name, fit with irwin and one we both like."

"You know, me and the boys were talking earlier at the studio." he smirks.

"Really? Damn, i knew i should have come." you sigh again.

"Yeah, Luke asked me if we'd decided yet." Ashton says.

"And what did they say?" you ask.

"Well, michael said michael, being himself of course. Calum said Riley, which i thought was cute. And then Luke said Jacob, which i really like." he smiles.

"Jacob, aw, now that's cute." you grin widely.

"Shall we go with Jacob then?" he asks.

"Yes, i like that idea." you smile, kissing him.

He gets out his phone and opens up twitter, i lie on his shoulder being nosy.

He sends a new tweet ;

I laugh, after seeing all the fans completely agreeing with Ashton.

Calum ;

"When's your parents getting here?" Calum asks, walking in the kitchen.

"In about ten minutes," you say, wiping your hands on the tea towel.

You'd been cooking for the past 2 hours, your parents were coming over for dinner whilst they were here in London.

"You go sit down, and i'll do the rest," Calum said, stopping you.

"No Cal, i've started now. You know me i can't not finish it," you chuckle taking his hands off of you.

There was a bang at the door, and Calum rushed to open it.

"Y/N!" your mum cheers, walking into the kitchen.

"Hi mum," you smile hugging her.

"Hello darling," your dad says.

"Hi dad," you smile hugging him, kissing his cheek.

You were now all sat eating.

"So have you two got a name for baby yet?" your mum asks.

"Well we have been thinking, and we agreed on two together," Calum says.

"What are they then?" she asks excitedly.

"Daisy, Daisy Hood," you smile.
"And Cameron, Cameron Hood," Calum smiles.
"Darling, those are perfect," your dad grins.
"They're such sweet names, I can't wait to find out the gender," your mum smiles widely.
