I

I raised my eyes to gaze upon a large brown-coloured box who just so happened to be shipwrecked in the island. The very same island I was in. The very same island I lived in right this very moment.

"Search the area, and leave no survivors!" One of them who had dark blue hair announced, and I let out a gasp.

I started running. Running away from the box, running away from the group, only to be running towards and slammed hard against the one with dark blue hair. I fell backwards as a result, and I rubbed my forehead and winced in pain.

"I apologise. Are you okay?" He asked, extending his hand.

I could only meet his gaze without saying anything else. And he clammed up and retracted his hand. His sharp voice had caught the eyes and ears of his fellow subordinates, and they all whistled at the sight of me.

"Do you have a name, miss?" The one with blue hair tried again.

I only stared at him, dumbfounded.

"She's too afraid to speak up, sir! I know a way that could make her talk," one of his subordinates let out a chuckle, "if you would so allow us to take your place instead, sir-"

He was interrupted by a low and annoyed grunt from the blue-haired man. I looked from his men to the man again in confusion, what does he mean when he said he knew a way that could make me talk? I thought.

"I..I need a break," the blue sighed and sat down on a nearby rock.

His men flashed me a cheeky grin, and started towards me. They've unzipped their trousers, and were going to corner me against one of the nearby tree trunk. I drew in a sharp breath, and met the gaze of one of them.

"Come here, little lamb," the other one chirped.

I was about to meet my fate when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a sheathed blade around one of the men's hips, and pulled it out. I lashed it across the man's throat, and his blood splattered across my cheeks. The men's eyes rounded surprise at my sudden outburst.

But I only finished them off one by one, blood already staining the blade and one side of my cheeks partially, and the blue-haired man could only stare at me in shock. Who knew that the little lamb could actually fight off lions?

"W-what are you?" He muttered.

I shook my head mutely, and fell to my knees on the ground. I'd expected the man to ignore me now that he knew what I was capable of, but he only knelt down in front of me and stroked my hair gently, "I suppose you cannot speak. And could only follow the order to kill, is that correct?" I nodded.

"I could bring you back to Leiden when my rescue party arrives, but first I want you to show me something," he told me, "you have that blade from one of my subordinates. Take it and kill that little bird over there by the pebble."

I whirled around and threw the blade without direction. The weapon struck one of the little hummingbirds that was chilling by one of the largest pebble. When it did, the near-to-death hummingbird's friends had chirped furiously, only to be silenced by its last flap of its brown wings.

"Wonderful job," he commented, "in Leiden, you could actually make a good soldier in the army."

One of my brows raised, and I opened my mouth to speak my first words, "What do you mean?" I asked.

"I mean," the corner of his lips had lifted into a gentle smile when he heard me speak my first words, "that I have no use for you anymore. But I believe someone whom I know and you'd like might have good use out of you."
