Ash:
When Ash was six she learnt to make stars. Not the paper cut-out kind, but the real ones. Her father had taught her earlier that day. It was supposed to be a secret, the kind of secret that was passed down through generations. But she was never good at keeping secrets, so when she saw one of her friends later that day she had to show him. She made two stars, one for him and one for herself. If only she'd known that making stars could have repercussions. Big ones. They bound the friends in a way that could never be broken. He became hers, and she became his. Forever.
But who you love at six and who you love at sixteen can change. At least that was what she was starting to believe. Lately, gaps had appeared in her mind, like wisps of dark cloud that blurred faces and then darkened completely. People were missing. Someone in particular. Her heart felt it, too.
Someone had been inside her head, tampering with her memories. Someone from a life long forgotten.
