Hey everyone! Thank you for taking time to read my work! I feel as though it is necessary to mention my inspiration for this story. ( under the preface that yourself, the reader, are a fan of the 1975)
I have been truly inspired by the 1975's newest work, ( A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships) and especially the song Surrounded by Heads and Bodies,as well as the bands ability to outline the struggles Matty has battled with throughout the past few years, with addiction and poor mental health and well-being.
I believe that portraying such a raw experience has allowed the general public to sympathise and most importantly understand the black hole that is addiction and the repercussions inherent in its attachment to ones self, in saying this I want to absolutely ensure I portray these issues correctly whilst also not attempting to glamourise and romanticise them.
