welcome to LIGHT OF THE MAKER, a dragon age AU where the mage rebellion goes much further than kirkwall when a mage queen, who also serves as a hero of the fifth blight, embarks on a journey to set her fellow mages free from their chains.
many facets of this story are AU/non-canonical, such as having multiple OC heroes of the blight (we have an Amell, an Aeducan, two Mottieres, Lys Terrelle, and King Cailan), but the reason i did it this way is to give as much representation to everyone's wardens as i could. the reason miryam mottiere is married to cailan and not, say, alistair is because i never make alistair king in my playthroughs, and she pairs much better with cailan (who, if you're wondering, was saved alongside the wardens by flemeth in origins).
