"Gribbly..." she mumbled, tugging on my shirt.

"Yes, Y/N?" I looked towards at her, a tolerating smile on my face.

It's not that I didn't love her, it's just that she was wasting too much of my time and I needed to work.

"I want to break up," she said quietly.

What!? I froze in place. She can't be serious.....right?

"Y/N, you can cut it out now," I told her anxiously. "This joke isn't funny!"

I felt her hug me gently as tears started to spill out of my eyes. "Love, I...."

"Shhh, it's not your fault," she soothed. "I know you're very busy with work, so you don't have time to spend with me. You never did, though. Not even once in a while. I just feel under appreciated, I guess, so I decided I should try to find someone who has more time for me."

That felt like a blow to my heart. Mostly because it was all true. I didn't have time to spend with her, not even now. Y/N was right, she does deserve someone better.

"I'm sorry, Y/N. I hope you find someone better," I smiled fakely, tears falling down my cheeks.

Wiping my tears and kissing me one last time, she packed her bags and was gone.

"Y/N!!!" I cried, falling to my knees and covering my face with my hands.

I lost her forever..... It's all my fault.

~2 months later~

It all just sounds like ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh

I sighed as I passed a flower shop which had Y/N's favorite flowers on the front display. It brought back so many memories....

I stepped out of the shop, holding a bouquet of F/F behind my back with my right hand.

I knew bringing flowers wasn't going to be enough to win
Y/N's heart, as it was a cliche thing that all guys did. So I came extra prepared, holding a bouquet of chicken nuggets on skewers in my left hand.

Needless to say, Y/N was very delighted. She hugged me tightly and neared her lips towards mine.

"I-I like you, Gribbly," she confessed, leaning in.

I connected our lips and felt the sparks fly. This was where we had our first kiss.

I blinked away the tears threatening to come out and went on my way. Wow, this winter day was very cold. More memories hit me like a wave as I remembered the past.

"I-It's s-so c-cold," Y/N stuttered, her teeth chattering.

"Come here," I motioned, grabbing her cold hand into my warm one.

"Wow, you're like a heater!" she exclaimed, smiling.

Holding hands, we walked home, where more hugs and kisses were shared.

Ah, here. The house where I had everything, and lost everything. Unlocking the door, I remembered how Y/N used to sit there on the couch, a glint of hope in her eyes.

"Gribs! let's watch a movie tonight! I can pop some popcorn and we can cuddle!" she offered, smiling happily.

Today had been a long day, and all I wanted to do was rest. I'd make it up to her later one day.

"Sorry, Y/N, not tonight. I have too much work to do," I lied.

"Oh, okay, it's fine, I'm glad you're working this hard for us," she said softly, disappointment lacing her tone.

As I sat in my office room, buried in all my work, I found an invitation to the company gala next week.

"Look, there's a party for
B/F/N's anniversary tommorow!" Y/N showed me the invitation happily.

"And?" I arched a brow.

"Let's go together! I know we'll have so much fun!" she said excitedly.

"No, Y/N! How many times do I have to tell you I'm too busy for your bullshit!" I screamed.

"I-I'm sorry," she apologized, tearing up.

Before I had the chance to apologize, she was gone. I need to be nicer to her, since I really love her.

I decided to go to the gala to get my mind off of things. Packing the invitation in my bag, I continued all my work, the memories of Y/N haunting me.

-A week later-

I gulped as I entered the huge ballroom. There were people dancing everywhere, but one couple caught my eye. There was a good looking man dancing with a beautiful H/C haired woman. As she turned, I saw the happy smile on her face and sighed. She was Y/N.

It's time to apologize.

Although it hurts
I'll be the first to say that I was wrong

To try and apologize for my mistakes

"Y/N," I walked over, tapping her shoulder.

"Yes, si-" she stopped when she saw me. Guilt flashed in her
E/C orbs as he moved back, her back pressed against the guy she was dancing with.

"G-Gribbly , why are you here?" she asked quietly.

I held her hands in mine and sincerely looked into her eyes, earning a glare from her partner.

"I'm so sorry for everything I've done, Y/N," I apologized, locking my eyes with hers. "I hope you can forgive me."

"I already have," she said with a small smile.

"Thank you," I replied, smiling back.

"Let me introduce you two then," Y/N said happily.

"Gribbly, this is my boyfriend, Blooky," she told me, pointing at the guy who waved his hand.

"And this is my ex, Gribbly," she told that boyfriend of hers.

We awkwardly shook hands, but I barely noticed. My heart had froze once I heard the words "my boyfriend." Y/N had already moved on.

Holding back my tears, I smiled at Y/N, hugging her one last time. The feeling of holding her in my arms was enough to make my heart pound happily.

"I'm glad you found someone new," I told Y/N. "I hope he makes you happy and does all the things I should've done. And I hope he loves you as much as you love him."

With a last fake smile, I was gone.
