"Contact me if you visit Hongkong again," Choi said after they had hugged briefly for a goodbye.
"I will. I already miss the club," Jimin replied with an honest smile. He truly loved this place and no bad sex experience would ruin this for him. Choi was an interesting guy, but not his type of guy. He knew that now, so he would keep their relationship on business level.
"Do you find your way home, or do you need a ride?" the man asked him with an incredulous gaze at the dark streets, being a gentleman once again.
"Thank you, but my friend will pick me up," Jimin declined the offer and waved at the other before turning around and scanning the street for their rented car. Suga had informed him that everything went well, and that someone would come to pick him up, so he had told Choi that it was time for him to leave to get enough sleep before his flight.
But before he could look around properly, he was enveloped in a tight hug and someone was burying their nose in his hair and humming contently. Instinctively, Jimin's hands settled on the hugger's waist. A slim waist in what felt like a cheap suit.
"Jungkook?" he asked confused, recognizing the tangerine-forest scent from their nights in a shared bed.
The raven just hummed lowly and pulled him in tighter. Being held so securely after having been tense all evening felt so good Jimin was not sure if he was dreaming, so something had to be wrong here. Why would straight soldier-Kook hug him like they had been a couple parted for months?
Apparently, Choi thought the same. "So, boyfriend, hu?" the man's amused voice asked from several steps away, and Jimin tried to turn his head and look at the man while stuttering out panicked nonsense, but Jungkook would not let him move one bit.
"Yes. problem?" the bumper growled instead, and Jimin's mind went blank in wonder.
But of course, that must be to protect him because Jungkook had seen him in that miserable state last week, and some savior complex told the younger to keep off Choi with whatever method was sufficient. There was no way, Jungkook had just confessed anything. The shocked reaction of the bumper and how he had distanced himself even further from Jimin after the embarrassing encounter in their bathroom was proof enough that Jimin had no reason to hope for anything, so he shushed his hopeful heart.
"Not at all," Choi said, still having this amused tune in his deep voice which Jimin knew all too well by now. "I wish you a nice evening."
Jungkook just nodded before Jimin felt something as soft as lips on his temple and finally found the strength to fight himself free. They had to talk.
"Explain," he whispered at the raven, not wanting to catch Choi's attention again.
"Can I just... hug you a little longer? Please?" Jungkook asked with pleading doe eyes, and who was Jimin to resist such offensive cuteness.
It would not hurt, would it? They could still talk about this later, and hugging was something even friends did, so there was no danger of misunderstanding here. At second thought, he kicked off the awful high heels and then slung his arms back around the bumper. This was much better. Or more disturbing, because now he could hear the thundering heartbeat of the other and all the tempting hopes came rushing back.
But they just stood there in silence, softly swaying whenever one of them lost their balance, knotted into a tight bundle and breathing in sync. And slowly Jungkook's thundering heart and Jimin's wild thoughts calmed down and the bumper's desperately tight grip loosened a little.
"Are you okay?" were the first words from Jungkook after an indefinite amount of time had passed, but he still would not let Jimin go.
"Yes," Jimin whispered against the broad chest and allowed himself to smile.
