First Blue Moon In The Pack House

We soon get back to the packhouse, it's dark now and the moon has begun to rise over the treetops. In two nights there will be a full moon. As soon as I walk through the door everyone stops to look at me.

"Welcome back, Alpha," The Pack greets me.

I smile. "Hey gu--" I begin but my sentence is cut short due to an all to familiar ache. I fall to my knees and hold my stomach as I hear someone run to me.

Jenna calls out, "Niko! Are you ok?!" I snap my head up, my loose hair flying back as everyone gasps. Jenna becomes worried, "Shit, Balto! What color is the moon?!" Balto runs to the window to check as Jenna attempts to comfort me.

"Ah!" Ashton screams out. At this, I can feel my wolf ache.

"What do we do?!" Balto asks in distress, drawing the curtains rapidly.

Ashton sputters, clutching his stomach, "Ask... Moro and Link."

"Basement with Ashton," Moro answers almost immediately.

"Bedroom with Niko. Chain them up," Link contradicts.

Jenna gives them a concerned look, "What? No! Are you two crazy?"

I feel as if it's my time to step up to bat, "God, stop a-arguing! Jenna, just do it!" Jenna hesitates, finally giving in as she helps me up, spinning me toward Ashton. "No! I can't see him!" I scream, covering my eyes. She quickly turns a different way, rushing me upstairs to the bedroom with Aleu in tow. He chains me up, but my wolf lunges forward. I cry out, "Ah! Ashton! Try... to... resist it!"

Aleu calmly speaks, "It will be over before you know it Niko." I don't believe him, everything hurts. Heat fills my body in a flash, my body barely able to contain the screams. My back arches, the chains are pulling tight against my scorching skin. I can feel my body slip between my world and Jade's world. After a long struggle, she takes over, my vision giving up as well as my being.

Jade's POV

I can feel that Niko doesn't want to give in to me or the blue moon, but she needs to accept that she and Ashton must close the bond soon or they will die. I open my eyes to see Aleu and Jenna in the room.

Aleu looks astonished, "Niko?"

"She's out at the moment," I respond calmly. I pull forward, snapping the chains. Jenna jumps back in fear as Aleu looks at me, almost annoyed.

He speaks, "Come on, Jade. You know Niko doesn't want this."

I stand and look him in the eyes, laughing a bit, "Aleu, have you ever read up on mates?" Aleu looks back at me questionably. I chuckle once more, "You see my young friends, if mates do not close their bond within a year of meeting and establishing an intimate relationship... they start to die."

"You're lying!" Jenna yelps.

"Far from it, young witch. So, where is he?" They stay silent. I sigh and grab a letter opener along with the bottle of wolfsbane. It was originally supposed to be poured over the cuffs and chains, but I've found a far better use for it. I remove the lid, dousing the letter opener in it. I sigh, "Sorry, Niko." I grin, slicing into my hand. I silence my pain, holding it as deep as I can, even when I hear Ashton scream out. I know Niko's powerful, and that's all she needed to hear. It's time for me to rest, for now, the edges of my vision turned black.

Niko's POV

The first thing I feel is pain, I yell out, grabbing my hand. It doesn't take me long to look at my wrists, soon realizing I'm free.
