A/N: Hey there everyone! Remember to comment your thoughts...I CRAVE them...

Claire looked to the door as it slowly swung open, and smiled when she saw Silver. He walked over and knelt down next to her bed where she was lying. He then gently placed his hand on the side of her face as he ran his fingers through her hair. She looked beautiful, well she always did, but there was something different about it today.

"Yer glowin' lass...are ya' ready C-ster?"

"As ready as I'll ever be." She smiled as she leaned into his touch.

With that, he picked up his love and carried her to his skiff that waited out front for them. He gently placed her down inside and took the controls. They waited a moment for Faye and Sarah, and once everything and everyone was loaded up, he took them to the secret cave.

Once they arrived, Faye set everything up lickety-split. The monitors, the bed, the sanitary tools (just in case), the supplies to care for the baby after, and some comfort measures for Claire.

Silver helped Claire out of the boat and supported her as she walked over to the bed. She then noticed the hospital-like gown that waited for her, although this one was a bit nicer. She picked it up with a disgusted look on her face.

"Do I really have to wear this...thing Dr Buhle?!" She questioned, with a bit of a whine in her tone.

"Yes love! Gotta have easy access to many parts of your body! And unless you want to birth this baby naked, that's what you have to wear." She patiently shouted as she disappeared halfway into her Mary Poppins bag of medical supplies.

"Fine." She grumbled as she flung the unwanted garment over her shoulder and trudged off to change, with Silver close behind to assist if needed.

After some muttering and more grumbling, a ready-to-birth Claire emerged from the shadows with her birthing gown on. She walked over to the bed and got as comfortable as she could. As she sat, her face suddenly twinged in pain as one of her first real contractions hit her. It hurt like a mother-

But it was over just as fast.

That's when Sarah made her way over to her daughter. She ran her fingers gently across Claire's back.

"How are you feeling?"

"Like an exhausted space whale..." They both broke into laughter.

Sarah was glad to see her baby girl in such a good mood despite the pain.

"Now, jokes aside, how are you really feeling?"

The smile slowly faded from her face. "...like a mess of emotions. I'm so excited to finally get this baby out, and to finally meet him...but I'm still scared. This is the scariest thing I've ever done. What if I can't do it?"

Silver approached just in time to hear her say this. "Can't do it?! D'is is comin' from the same lass d'at traversed the galaxy, thwarted a pirate mutiny, survived a wicked crash, faced and changed da' heart of the most notorious pirate Captain since Nathaniel Flint 'imself, and saved us all by sheer guts an' bravery..." Silver gently pulled her chin up until she was looking in his eyes. "...Claire Serenity Hawkins...ye' be the bravest lass I've ever met. Yer stubborn, strong, and capable of any'ting ya put yer mind to...don't let go of that now, lass. You can do 'dis." He smiled at her, and she could see that he believed every word he was saying.

"He's right, you know? You can handle this. You amaze us, and we're here to help you." Sarah confirmed with a smile of her own.

Dr. Buhle stepped up to the end of the bed. "And baby girl, you have the best support team I have ever seen. Together, we'll help you deliver this baby."
