- it was a pretty serious relationship but they never declare official so it's just a serious fling between them. soyeon had no problem to date since she's from cube and cube doesn't have dating ban but hyunjae does. the chemistry between them just died just like that after soyeon appeared on produce 101. they ended things off in a good term.

- not an idol but ryujin was the one who had a crush on hyunjae when hyunjae was with soyeon. it took hyunjae a long time to actually move on from soyeon since he really likes her. hyunjae found out about ryujin's feelings about him but their relationship now is more like senior-junior.

v. GUGUDAN'S SEJEONG
- hyunjae's ideal type is literally kim sejeong of gugudan and former member of ioi. he fell in love with her instantly and is whipped after watching k-pop star 2 when he was 14. the crush obviously died down since there was no news of her but it came again when sejeong won second place in produce 101 season one.
in conclusion, hyunjae is into older people (jeon soyeon was an exception).
