The Beach

You just finished a tough week at work and Namjoon decided to surprise you with a trip to the beach. You two live in a lovely apartment in the big city and never really get to enjoy nature because you both work a lot. So this trip was just what you needed.

It took you two hours to get from the city to the beach, but a long ride like that is more than worth it, when it is with Namjoon. He always sings along to all the songs and...lets just say that he sings with A LOT of passion. You can't help but laugh when he almost screams the lyrics while dramatically stretching his arm in the air. You sang along as well, resulting in two screaming seagulls having the time of their lives.

When you arrived at the beach safely, you immediately inhaled deeply, smelling the salt smell of the sea. A relieved smile grew on your face as you looked at the calming motions of the ocean waves, when you felt someone taking your hand. You looked to your side and found yourself staring into Namjoons dark, brown eyes.

They had a childish sparkle in them and you quickly knew why when he suddenly started running towards the ocean, dragging you with him as he was firmly holding onto your hand. He looked over his shoulder with the most lovable smile you've ever seen, while he was still running a little to fast for you. You almost tripped a few times and that's why a relieved sigh escaped your mouth when he finally stopped in front of the sea.

You took your flip-flops off and held them in one hand while your other was still intertwined with Namjoons.
"Isn't it lovely? The ocean that doesn't seem to come to an end?"
You felt Namjoons thumb tenderly
caressing your hand before he
answered your question.
"It sure is indeed. But nothing is as lovely as you my dear."

You felt your blood rushing to your cheeks when you heard his sweet words. You didn't know what to say so as an alternative you carefully rested your head against his shoulder. He looked down at you and a loving chuckle left his lips.
"Lets go for a walk shall we"
You nodded and the two of you started walking along the coastline.
