I walk until it is almost dark. I can't take it much longer so I get in a red car and prepare to make camp in the car. I take out my pillow and blanket and make a small pallet in the backseat. I lock all the doors and change into my fuzzy pajamas. I eat a granola bar and a small bag of chips. I wash it down with a bottle of coke.

I crawl into the backseat and curl myself up into a ball. I know I have to  sleep if I want to walk tomorrow I shut my eyes and go to sleep. I awake from a nightmare and see that the sun is barely rising.

I get clean clothes out of my suitcase and then I eat a pop tart for the road and drink a big of my coke from last night. I walk until I see a car that has been abandoned on the side of the road. I pray that the keys are in the car. To my amazement they are.

I get in and lock the doors and lay my head on the steering wheel and cry out of sheer happiness. I crank the car and head for the interstate. I knew I had to go as fast as I could. As, I near the interstate a slew of bodies are on the ground.

I ignore  the bumps as best as I can. I'm finally on the interstate I take a look at the gas gage and see that it has full tank of gas. I drive until it is nearly dark. I'm a mile from Tennessee so I decide to head to the nearest camp ground. I need a tent to stay in so I don't have to rely on staying in a car.

After finding the nearest campground I wander around until I find a tent I however do not find a tent. What I do find is a Cabin that has a generator and the lights are on in the cabin. I slowly approach the cabin no one appears to be in it. I go in and lock the doors and check the place out. It has running water so I head to the shower to take one.

It feels amazing to shower and be clean after the last two days that I have had. I get out of the shower and put my pajamas on. I head to the kitchen and find a pizza box that has 3 slices left. I eat the three slices like they are my last meal, I also guzzle my water like it is the last time I will drink.

I head to the only bedroom in the cabin and fall fast asleep in a king size bed that is soft and warm. I awake in the morning and explore I find a half empty gas can. I take it and put it in my car with the rest of my stuff. I leave the campground and go back onto the interstate.

I know I have to keep going because it is what my parents would want me to do. It is a do or die situation you never know what the remaining survivors will do if there are any. My parents always told me I was their little fighter so I will continue to fight for my survival.
