I gave him the stankiest face ever.
"Don't look at me like that. You know that girl had a bad childhood and you was her only friend."
Looking at my nail then back to the movie not caring what he saying.
He grab the remote turning the tv off.
"I don't give a fuck Chris. She fuck my boyfriend and her baby daddy might be Eddie's. So miss me with that bad childhood bull shit, I will never fuck Martin no matter how I was raise. It's call Loyalty.
Why the hell do you care you must of fuck her." I scream getting mad
"Man I will never mess with de So chill out on that..but I know how it feel to be pregnant and alone..you must forgot that I lost my mother that way?"
I sigh thinking how Chris mother died when he was away at college and his mother fell into heavy depression and killed herself and his unborn baby sister.

Here I am standing in front of de house waiting for her to answer the door. I look like a damn fool but Chris beg me to come check on her.
"Hey Layla." She look around "What you doing here?"
"Chris ask me to come check on you..well you look alive and well so bye." I turn to walk away but she stop me.
"I could really use a ear right now." Saddens filled her voice
Rolling my eyes pouting I turn around.
"Make it quick please I got to pick my sisters and brothers up." I lied walking in her apartment
"I will,I promise." She close the door after me "Let me go get something's" she wobble to her room
I sat on the couch ready to go. I look at the wall that her tv stand was on and still see that she had the picture of me and her when we was teenagers. I had my hair braided to the scalp in the front then into a big puff ball with my hot pink babyphat jumpsuit. And white K-Swiss shoes on. While de had on some apple bottom jeans and a white and gold South Pole shirt on,her hair was flat iron and she had pink lipgloss and white eyeshadow with her white Reebok classic.
She had the picture blown up.
"Aww." Smile standing up getting closer "lord the style back then was ugly as hell." I chuckle
"I remember that day like it was yesterday. "De came out the room she had a envelope in her hands. "The day we played hide and go get it with Martin and Chris and Lacey had her lil boyfriend but we all got caught because Lauryn wanted to play but she was to young and she told on us." She laugh
I smile remembering the whooping my daddy gave me and Lacey.
"I still got my kiss from Chris that day too."
She nod her head "Yep the day you fell in love with him."
Me and her both laugh...I stop clearing my throat.
"Um I gotta.."
"Here. I decided to get a DNA test early." She handed me the envelope.
I grab it opening it.

"Okay...So is Martin the father?" I just had to ask
"Yes. He the only one."
"Do Eddie know about this ?"
"Yes,I'm surprise he didn't tell you."
I gave her back the envelope.
"Well I got to go de." I walk towards the door
"Okay and umm ...I'm having my baby shower on Monday if you want to come." She gave me and invitation
I nod my head taking it walking out the house.
