"What you doing here?" He ask her
I could feel her staring at me as I fake sleep.
"She has to much to drink." He lied "Follow me." He struggle to open the door but finally opened it.
He place me in his bed then walk back out to the living room where Tootie was with her babies.
I quickly got up and walk to the door opening it up a little so I can see through the living room.
"Wassup?" He sat down staring at her
"Well I had my babies." She smile at them. "Look. I know you don't wanna see me but I need somebody to help me. I can't do it by myself." She wipe her eyes.
Chris rub his chin." Where they father?"
She but her bottom lip." He married..I swear I didn't know till he told me a month ago. He sends me money but don't wanna see them. Chris please." She cried harder.
He look at the door knowing I was peaking.
I nod my head giving him the okay.
He rub his face getting up and grab one of the babies.
I close the door and laid back in his bed.

"Damn she came back..What he say?" Lacey ask me
"Nothing it was like he wanted to help her..I mean ain't nothing wrong with that...but she cheated on him." I said low key jealous
"Green is not a good color on you." She said wiping down her living room table.
"Whatever. It's just that when Eddie cheated on me He was like. " You should leave him. He always forgiving somebody." Look at him forgiving that bitch!" I stomp my foot
"Ouuu y'all two is something else. If y'all don't go out and get married already." She went to go wash her hands"Look just like you gave Eddie a second chance and De he giving Tootie one. It's not like they back together." She shrug wiping her wet hands off.
"You didn't see though Lacey. They look like one big happy family." I sigh
"Look the boy gonna always be your Bestfriend."
"I know..anyway you coming to Sunday dinner?" I ask standing up getting ready to go.
"Yeah I'll be there."
"Okay Bye trick."
"Bye Bitch."
And I walk out her house.

"I forgot I had two older girls." My dad said as soon he walk in the kitchen.
Everybody was sitting at the table waiting to eat.
"Hi dad." Me and Lacey said at the same time.
"Hi my independent ladies." He kiss both of our foreheads going to sit at the head of the table.
"Dad,since me and Lamont graduating college can we get a joint apartment together?" Lauryn ask
"I don't wanna live with you." Lamont said
"Why?"
"Because I'm moving in with Emily."
Lauryn rolled her eyes." So she can visit only on weekends through two through four."
"Hell no you crazy?" He respond
"Language." My momma sat down a bowl of mash potatoes and corn.
"I graduate in one year you wanna room in with me?"Leroy ask Lauryn
"That's to long I'm trying to leave now." She pouted
"Either wait for him or Lyric in three years?" My dad said ready to dismiss the conversation
"I'll wait for Leroy." She sigh
"Okay everyone bow your heads." He said taking my hand.

"Anybody need anything?" My dad ask eating his second T-bone steak.
He ask this question every Sunday.
Everybody shook they head no.
And of course Lauryn always be the one who need something.
"There's is this cute purse I saw at the mall..can I get it."
"You need a job." Lyric said doing a cross word puzzle
Everybody agreed.
"Hey get off of me. I'm almost done with school and I will get one." She flip her hair."Stop hating. So dad can I get it?"
"Yeah babygirl." He nod his head
Everybody smack the lips.
"Yaaay. Thanks daddy." She all of us off when he wasn't looking.
"You always spoiling her." My momma said picking up the plates since everybody was done.

"I think you trying to keep her here so she won't go after boys." My mom replied
"You damn right I already had one who did..."
"Really dad I thought you was over this." Lacey spoke up
"Baby girl I didn't mean it like that." He look at her
Shaking her she stood up. "You guys have a nice night." She walk away
"Lacey Lace-." My dad went after her.
"Y'all the purse I want is pink it match my...well forget y'all too." She yelled at us as we all got up from the table not wanting to hear her talk about some damn purse.
"Im going to go Ma." I kiss her cheek as she wash the dishes.
"Okay baby drive safe."
"I will mommy." I walk to the living room when they all went."im leaving."
"Bye L." The said waiving
Smiling I walk outside where I could hear my dad and Lacey laughing.
"Bye Dad Bye Lacey." I hug both of them.
"You leaving?" My dad ask
Nodding my head."Yeah I got shipments to do."
"That's right get that money hunny." Lacey snap
Laughing I walk away from them.

"Can I Come in?" Chris ask me from my room door.
"Sure." I rolled my eyes regretting giving him that spare key.
"Why you left last night?" He sat on my bed.
Shrugging." I thought you and Tootie needed some alone time."
He look off." Yeah. I sent her to a hotel. I just couldn't stop thinking that those beautiful babies could've been mine."
"I'm sorry." I said low key happy
"Yeah..What you watching?" He took off his shoes and hoodie reviling his white tank top.
"What's Love got to do with it."
"Yo ass watch this movie everyday." He laid his head on my chest as my fingers With directly to his hair rubbing his scalp.
"You know I love you right?" He look up at me
"Yeah." I smile
Nodding he went right back watching the movie.
