BANG!
I loud noise woke me from my sleep.
"Please, Sam, don't" Said Mummy.
"Give me one reason not to" Shouted someone.
I got out of my bed and grabbed teddy before walking slowly down the stairs.
Hushed voices came from Mummy and Daddy's room.
"Yes, yours" Whispered Mummy.
I couldn't make out the words they were saying.
BANG!
The noise was louder.
I stood at the door gripping onto teddy as the door opened quietly.
A tall man looked at me, confused at first, then after looking at me closely his gaze softened.
He slowly bent down and placed his hands on my small shoulders.
"What is your name?" He asked softly.
"Dakoda-Rhys" I whispered hugging teddy closer.
His eyes widened, he looked behind him then returned his gaze back to me.
"Where is Mummy and Daddy?" I asked, tears in my eyes.
"Mummy and Daddy have left" He replied.
The man had deep brown eyes with black hair. He was scary.
"Where did they go?" I questioned.
"They went to a better place" He smiled.
"Why didn't they take me?" I started to cry.
"Don't cry." He warned.
I cried and ran up the stairs to my room.
"Dakoda!" He yelled "Come back here."
I hid under my bed, holding teddy and silently sobbing.
"Dakoda-Rhys I can hear and see you. Come out from under the bed." He said sweetly.
I didn't move. He moved over to me.
He laid on the floor, I could see the anger in his face.
"I warned you" He whispered.
He grabbed me by my hair and pulled my out from underneath the bed.
I screamed and kicked as he lifted me to his face.
"Shut-up!" He yelled taking a sharp object out of his pocket.
I went quiet when I saw the blade.
He noticed me looking at the blade and a smile crept across his face.
"Afraid?" He asked.
I gulped and nodded.
Laughter erupted throughout my room. However he stopped suddenly and placed the blade in the centre of my forehead.
"Good." He smiled. His eyes went dark as I winced in pain.
My winces soon turned it to painful screams as he cut my skin down across my eye and down my cheek bone.
