"The heart lies and the mind plays tricks on us, but the eyes see true" - George R.R. Martin.

I watched in amusement at the display infront of me.
Tommy had his arms crossed protectively over his stomach giving Jake a cold shoulder. Poor Jake didn't know what was happening, but I did.
Tommy was always a good friend to me and he treated me as his sister, so he had it in his mind that he was the older protective brother for me and didn't like it when boys asked me where I lived.
As I watched the scene infront of me I took out my blade and danced it inbetween my fingers.
I zoned out for most of there conversation untill I heard Tommy talking about my first kill.
"Tommy please stop highlighting my kills" I spoke up to get there attention.
I saw Jake look at me then at my blade.
"What do you want Jake?" I asked as I carefully stashed the blade away.
"I wanted to talk to you, privately" He replied, faking confidence.
What the hell would he want to talk about.
My eyes shifted to Tommy's but I quickly looked away.
"Ok fine" I sighed "Follow me"
I got up from my position on the wall and started to walk down the corridor.
I heard Jakes last comment to Tommy before I started to hear Jakes slow footsteps behind me.
Once we got to the library I stopped and opened the doors revealing shelves stocked with books. This place, despite being the way home, was my favourite place to be. I had read most of the books in this library if my free time but that was about all I did, besides all my killings.
As I walked over to the shelf with 'The other america' on it I realised something. I turned to see a surprised looking Jake starring at me.
"What?" He asked
"I just realised something that I probably should have told you before you got this far" I said, scorning myself
"And that is?" He asked, confusion written in his features.
"I have two dogs, shadow and Keres, they might eat you" I said slowly.
"Okay, I am willing to take that chance. Like, come on, how big can they be?" He laughed.
Big enough to cause serious damage.
"Okay, but I told you so" I warned
I grabbed the book from the shelf and pulled it out. The bookcases shifted and moved to the side and my front door was revealed.
I got my key out of my pocket and unlocked the door. I walked in first knowing Shadow and Keres would get distracted by my appearance, they got stuck in the house for most of the day and I'm not there so they get bored without me.
I whistled and heard some barking, before I knew it I had to great danes tackle me to the ground.
I laughed and pushed them off me.
"kukaa chini na kuwa na utulivu" I ordered and they obediently followed my instructions.
"What?" I turned and saw Jake giving me a confused look.
"It means 'Sit down and be quiet' in Swahili" I smiled at the two perfectly trained dogs.
"Wala kula au kuua, yeye ni rafiki" I instructed the dogs.
