Link, while being dragged by Epona, trying to catch that stranger, remembered a battle, after Zelda, before he left, when everything was peaceful...
It was an afternoon sky. In the afternoon. The sun was setting, and the duo were on a peaceful stroll in Hyrule Field...
"It's so nice, Link..." Zelda said.
He hit a big bump, and nearly lost his grip.
Link smiled. "Y' know, it is gorgeous." They tightened their hands together, and continued along.
It was a couple more minutes until they reached an overhang. They decided to sit down and eat dinner.
The stranger cackled as Epona rounded a bend around the tree, nearly knocking Link clean off.
They had brought cheese and crackers for supper, and they set up the blanket. It felt nice under the cool, glistening sky.
They both laughed. They saw Epona, who followed them, begging for a nip of cheese. She was neighing. Link fed her a slice. She galloped in a circle around them afterwards. Link and Zelda both touched each other hands...
It was awkward.
Suddenly, a growl came from the overhang. Link got up, grabbed his blade, and approached a hole in the wall...a cave!
Suddenly, he was thrown all the way back to a tree 100 yards away! It hit hard.
"HELLLLLPPP!" Zelda screamed.
Another bumpy rock. This time, Link lost a hand, but he was able to grab back on again.
Link rolled in after her. In the cave, it was quiet; no Keese, nobody at all.
"Zeeellllllddddaaaaa?"
His voice echoed.
"Zelllllddddaaaa....."
"Zelldaaaaaaa...."
"LLINKKKKKK!"
Wait, that was Zelda's voice! He ran in the direction and found himself on a ice floor. Zelda was trapped on the wall. He sliced the vines holding her and he caught her.
"RUN!" he called. He faced the giant, one eyed Octorock. Zelda was worried, but she ran off and comforted Epona. Link drew his shield and blade...right as the monster attacked! He ducked and rolled to the left, and the Octorock missed.
Link pulled out his shield infront of a light and shined it into the monster's eye. It seemed blinded, and it's eye fell to the ground. Link rolled over and did a Hurricane Spin Attack on it, multiple times. It didn't kill it, though, as it rose up again.
The monster attacked Link off guard. It shot a rock into Link's leg. It froze on impact! Luckily, Link was infront of a light...shone by Zelda's lamp!
"You're welcome, Link!" She set the ice-rock on fire, freeing Link.
Link was starting to lose his grip. His hands were sweaty. He was about to let go!
He shot a Light Arrow from his trusty Bow into the mutant's arm. It exploded and almost fell on Epona!
"Never mind the monster, just light that barrel of dynamite in the back with an arrow!" She pointed at it.
Link took a deep breath. He held his breath, and took the shot.
FWOOOOOSSSSSHHHH! It landed on the dot of the "i".
"EPONA, GO!" Link yelled.
They escaped as the overhang collapsed on their cheese.
Link was down to one hand. A tree was coming...and his leg snagged onto it. Down he went, an he lost the stranger. But it wasn't over yet. He chased after Epona, determined to get his beloved companion back.
