McCree exploded in an hearty laugh as he patted Fhaeraa shoulder.
- I think ya're drunk. Aintcha?-
The Egyptian girl smiled, flushed cheeks squishing:- I guess so...-
She hiccuped and looked over Angela and Winston :- We should really go now.- sighed the gorilla.
-We will be glad to host you again in the future doctor- Hanzo said politely to the small group.
They were the last one leaving the Christmas party/dinner that night.
Hanzo recalled them being the last one to leave their wedding as well.
Hanzo and Jesse got married in September of that year and settled down in a nice house. Hanzo couldn't not love the warm mornings wrapped between a pillow and his husband, Genji's frequent visits, cooking with Ana and all the peace that came with married life.
Still since some weeks Hanzo felt almost incomplete, that sense deep in his stomach was persistent like he was waiting for something to happen. They both waved at the group as they reached the parking in the small street.
Jesse wrapped a strong arm around his husband's waist ,mumbled something about washing the dishes ( which made Hanzo groan in pure displeasure) and stumbled back in the heat of their home.
None of them knew what was about to happen.
—————Cora almost slipped on the ice as she was getting further in the cold, dark neighborhood. She yawned somehow, despite everything, glad to see the snow.
Her foster family ," the Welsh", just kicked her out of the house so they could have a nice family Christmas dinner ,without her around.
Cora was so sick of feeling like a bother around all of the foster families.
She inhaled sharply and kept walking.
If she was being honest she had no idea of how long she has been out in the snow, but her fingers felt like they could just come off every second and she , naively, avoided moving them in the fear they could really do fall from help palm on the cold ground.
Cora kept wandering around the houses until the footstep ,she thought were made up by her imagination ,became louder and more consistent behind her back.
An old ,badly shaped man was following her; she managed to peek behind her back with an old mirror( her mother belonging) she kept in the pocket of her hoodie. She then shoved the mirror back in her pocket.
If Cora were less tired and scared she would have wondered why the man wasn't just running towards her and grabbing her still her mind was blurred by the cold and the fear. Two feelings she knew too well.
"I could out run him he seems old"
but her half frozen legs seemed to not be in the right condition for a run.
Cora breathed in and walked faster.
So did the man.
She took weird turns.
So did the man.
"Calm down Cora" the six years old looked before herself, she was back in the street she was walking on some minutes ago.
She needed help. She moved her fingers deep in thought, indeed they didn't come off.
Cora turned in a small street, her mind blurred by fear. She soon realized she did the worst thing she could after running straight troward the man.
In fact now she couldn't turn back and exit the street safely since the man stood in the middle of the end of it. She was in trap.
She was screwed.
