Part 1/3
Today was the day she decided to finally decorate her locker. And she wasn't alone. Some other kids were doing it, too. Some lockers were still plain. Like, their owners didn't know what to do with it. But she was sure about what was she going to do with hers.
Just like usual she walked in from the big entrance but this time with her other bag, a black one with some white stripes on it since Cat ruined the old one (not forget to mention her favorite one), and hands full of stuffs for her locker decoration. And by stuffs I mean twenty scissors (yes twenty) and black paint color.
The time she was in Hollywood Arts, the first thing she concerned was the stupid bag destroyer friend (kinda, sorta) of hers, rushing over to her. "Hey Jadey!" Cat greeted as happily as usual. "Never call me that again!" Jade warned her for calling her by a 'ridiculous' nickname.
"Why?? It's cute on you." The happy girl stated but soon tried to end the 'nickname' subject when she saw the scary one glancing at her, deadly, "I just wanted to let you know the time and the barbershop I'm gonna dye my hair at." Cat explained, following Jade to her locker.
"I am not coming with you." Jade snapped, as she put the her decoration stuffs down in front of her locker. "But you promised!" Said Cat a bit offended. Jade sighed thinking of the fact that she actually did, "and you destroyed my shoulder bag!" "I told you, I'm sorry!" Cat apologized for the... billionth time?
"Okay. Just say so I'm done with you here." Jade replied apathetically. "Yay! Be at the barbershop in Northridge mall, 39, Saturday at 6 o'clock." Said the short one.
Jade simply rolled her eyes and nodded that made Cat "Byeee" her and finally left her alone. She opened her locker to put some little things in it before ending her locker's plain days. 7:04. She had time for it till 8:00 ,before the first period starts. But before she shut her locker, she felt someone staring at her. That stupid feeling. One of the feelings Jade absolutely couldn't stand.
She didn't stop what she was doing, yet not changing her sight, she tried to find out who it was by looking from the corner of her eyes. Of course it was the boy she hanged out with yesterday, leaning against the wall behind her locker's door, looking at her with a bizarre grin on.
"You know it's not good to stare at someone, specially with those odd grins." She stated. "I know but I can't help it." Beck teased. Jade wasn't those kinds to be influenced just by a handsome boy. Wait, Huh??
She only rolled her eyes as a respond, she shut the door and turned to look at him and leant against her (for now) gray locker, "What do you want?" She asked. "Help you." He answer which wasn't pleasant for her. "I don't need your help," The teen girl rolled her eyes and put her bag on the floor to start her locker designing, "why don't you go for your own?"
"Because I already finished mine," Said the other teen, pointing to the direction his locker was, "you wanna see it?" "NO!" She snapped.
"Why not?"
" 'cause I already know what I am going to do with mine."
"I didn't said you don't. I just said you can see-" but jade cut him off, "I know what you said.""So come with me." The boy smiled gesturing his hands for her to take it.
"Fine. But I'm not taking your hand." She accepted as she shrugged, with her hands crossed under her chest."Transparent?" She was shocked by what she saw. "Yep." Replied Beck. "Why?" She asked again.
"Because I have no secrets, neither does my locker." He explained proudly. "Smart." She didn't meant to say it. She was just thinking about it. But it went out of her mouth. It just made Beck smile. She turned back to her own one and opened the black color paint and took the brush she brought. Beck was by her side, again, "So do you have some designs for what you're going to do with your locker?" Beck asked her. "Yup. It's in my bloody new bag, thanks to Cat." She said sarcastically, not bothering to look at him. He went to her bag to find the painting of her design.
But she suddenly burked, "I didn't say you can take it!". Beck looked at her weirdly, shocked enough for her reaction. "Don't you understand that you should not check someone's bag without their permission?" She continued. "Well can I have your permission?" He asked politely. "Yeah." She answered. The boy just shrugged before taking the paper out.
"Wow! You must really like scissors." Beck reacted to the design he saw. "I don't like them. I love them." She stopped painting the locker into black for a sec and looked at him and made eye contact with. They both smiled for a short time, until Jade broke it and continued her work with the black paint.
She finally was agreed to him helping her. He had something that could make her do whatever. Like, he could control her somehow. Another feeling Jade hated. Feeling of being under someone's control. But she was sure she was going to handle it. At least she was going to try. She found out that he really wanted to be friends with her. No one really wanted that because of her attitude. Well almost everyone. Except that girl, Cat. She was sweet but so much happier and sweeter than usual which made her way too annoying.
By the way, she knew she was going to experience new things in this school. Maybe some people who might wanna be friends with her. But she also knew she couldn't trust everyone if she didn't wanted to get hurt. She should be more careful.
To be continued...
