Having Ten Older Overprotective Brothers

Troy's POV

I kept stealing glances at Cassidy, who was looking so happy with Josh. He had just whispered something into her ear and she was laughing and so was he. 

"Troy hello!" Lyla's squeaky voice said as she rolled her eyes. I looked over at her, she was pretty that's a fact. She had curly red hair that stopped at her waist, she had ocean blue eyes, and a perfect smile. It's just her voice, and she just isn't Cass. 

"Yeah" I   replied shooting her a smile, which caused her to blush and forget that she was jealous because I was looking at another girl. Lyla and I have been dating for a few weeks now, I just need to get over Cassidy. It's hard.

"Do you love me?" she questioned with a hopeful look in her eyes. I wrapped my arms around her waist and lied to her again. 

Chris and Cody both shot me some knowing looks but I shrugged them off. Cody, Chris, and I have always been really close then they introduced me to their sister, Cassidy and me and Cassidy have been best friends since then, but things are changing. Mia, Lexi, and Dylan joined our group later. So now at the table, it's me, my girlfriend, and her friend Jessica who is dating Cody, , Cody, Chris, and Maya. Mia sits with Gavin now. Cassidy sits with that nobody (Josh) and Lexi sits there too and so does Dylan because of his crush on Lexi. 

It was weird having Jessica at our table, me and Jessica are the only two that know that Gavin cheated on Cass with her, but Cass doesn't want to say anything.

Cassidy's brothers CJ and Chawn are both seniors so they have a different lunch period than us. 

"You good bro?" I asked Cody. He was stabbing the hell out of his food. 

"No, I just realized there is something going on between Josh and my sister, isn't there" 

As much as I hate seeing the two of them together, I couldn't just throw Cass under the bus. Cody and Chris both looked at me waiting for a response. 

" Yeah, they go out and stuff" I couldn't believe the words tumbling out of my mouth. Did I really just say that? Did I? I was one hundred percent sure I had said it, because  Cody slammed his hand down on the table.

"Is he screwing my sister?" Chris asked me. I don't know the answer to this, but if I say yes Cody and Chris will end the thing between Cass and Josh, and she will be mine again.  But she will hate me and what about Lyla? 

" I don't know man" I said under my breath. Cody and Chris both looked pissed. What have I done?

Cassidy's POV 

Josh finally let me not hanging with him the other night go, and now he was whispering his cheesy pickup lines in my ear. 

"Is that a mirror in your pocket? Cause I can see myself in your pants!" he whispered. I blushed and hit  his arm. Josh held his arm mocking pain. 

"Will you two quit" Dylan scolded us and went back to chatting with Lex.

"Be nice babe" Lexi said to him and he apologized. Babe? when did that happen she has some serious explaining to do. They really work together. Dylan's seriousness is balanced with Lexi's outgoing traits. 

I looked up to where Troy and his friends sit and I noticed Jessica at their table. A pang of anger hit me. I still hate the fact that she's dating my favorite brother. I noticed there was an intense conversation going on at their table. Cody looked pissed and so did  Chawn. I will have to ask them later. I still can't believe Troy's with Lyla, of all girls. Whatever I have the boy I want. 

Lunch ended and we all have different classes. On my way out the cafeteria, I saw Lyla and Troy walk out the door hand in hand. I forgot I  have my next class with Lyla, Mia, and Jessica now. Fantastic!
