CHAPTER 10

*INDIGOS POV*

I waited til they said I could go into the room. i thought about everything that just happened. my little sister just got shot twice. i sat in my tears til i felt a hand on my shoulder. expecting it to be joe I immediately started to apologize. to my suprise it wasn't . "Milo" I exclaimed

milo is my ex boyfriend and first love. he's tall, muscular, darkskinned, and a retired thug. he was released from jail about 2 years ago. we broke up because he didn't want me around what he was doing. why is he here? I hurry and stood wiping my eyes. "milo?!" i questioned once again. "Hey beautiful" he said softly pulling me into a hug. his hug felt so right i couldn't let go. we stood embracing each other until I heard Joe's voice. "Hey bae I got you.." he cut hisself off after seeing us. I hurried and backed away. I saw anger in both milo and Joe's eyes. the mugged each other. i went over to joe and hugged him. "umm baby this is milo. my ex" I introduced in a whisper "yo ex huh? iight" he said pushing me off of him. Joe walked away and I felt tears forming. "I'm sorry rainy" he apologized. milo never called me by first name or anything close. "it's fine" I sighed sitting down stuffing my hands into my pockets.

the doctor cane and told us we could see my sister and we rushed to bed room. when I saw her laying there lifeless my knees got weak. Joe caught me and held on to me. he kissed me on my forehead and walked me to her. "talk to her baby" he whispered. I looked at her and touched her face. I may argue with her but I never thought I'd get this close to loosing her.

At about 1 in the morning my mom said she had to leave because she had to work. Joe said he'd stay with me because he knows how uncomfortable I am in hospitals. I laid in his arms til I dozed off I woke up hungry and went to the vending machines. half awake I ran into a body. Milo. I jumped and he grabbed me "shh it's just me rainy" he comforted. again I wanted to stay in his arms but knew it wasn't right. I pulled away and looked at him. "milo what are you doing here" I asked. "I needed to see you and I heard about Jay. it was only right for me to come. I still love you rainy" he explained. "Love? Lolo you can't love me you le..." he cut me off with a kiss and slipped his number in my pockets. "call me later rainy" he said leaving me there in shock. I stood in the hallway until joe came out "Baby what's wrong" Joe questioned "uhh nothing I was hungry" I said stuffing Milo's number in my pocket. "Come on baby" Joe said leading me back into the room

I laid there thinking about everything that just happened.

My ex boyfriend just kissed me .
