Kelsey POV

Things were different after last night. I think I have feelings for him. But our friendship is more important to me so I'm not gonna risk anything.

It was Saturday and I was supposed to go to the mall with my dad to pick out some clothes. It was supposed to be family bonding time I guess.

I got up and dressed nicely. I wore shorts, a red tank top and vans. I put my hair in a ponytail and headed down stairs.

My dad looked sad as I walked in the kitchen. But when he saw me a smile formed. "Hey sunshine ready for today?" I got cereal and sat down. "Yes dad I'm so excited." I quickly finished my cereal and went out to get the mail.

I walked out and saw Joe. He was looking so cute. "Joe it's like eight in the morning what are you doing here?" I fold my arms and wanted a answer.

"My parents want you to come over tonight and have dinner." He shrugged "Oh of course! I'm spending time with my dad till four so I can come over at five."
He smiled. "Alright see you later then."

I got into the car and waited for my dad. Hanging out with my dad is definitely going to help build our bond. He got into the car. "Ready for our special day together?" He asked. "Yes!" I was so thankful for today you wouldn't understand.

It was very nice spending time with him. We spent at least a three hundred dollars on my clothes . I felt bad because money has always been tight. But the one thing I was hyped about was dying my hair and getting a nose ring. My hair was a brownish orangish color but thankfully I dyed it honey blonde. I got a stud nose ring and that made me feel even more confident. "Thank you for today!" I hugged my dad "No problem princess, you better look nice for tonight." He winked. It was like he heard our conversation.

We got home at 3:30 which gave me enough time to do really nice makeup and wear nice clothes. I put all my bags on my bed and got straight to working on my hair.

I curled my hair. Even though my hair is curly it's way to crazy to look nice. I was playing 'Two Princes' by spin doctors and basically was partying while getting ready.

I did really nice makeup. I was a little proud of myself. "Ugh this stupid nose ring is in my way." I yelled aloud. I wore a jean skirt on a black long sleeve body suit.

I looked in the mirror. "Girl you are gonna be noticed by Joe." I said feeling myself. Before I left my room though, I saw a necklace. I picked it up and it had my name on it. I had a flashback to that day. "Joe you're such a doll." I put the necklace on and headed to his house.

My heart skipped a beat as I knocked on the door. Joes mother opened the door. "Hello Mrs. Mazzello, I'm sorry for what happened." I said shaking her hand. "No dear it's okay. Come on in though." She jesters me to come in.

The dinner table was set so lovely. Joe Mary And John we're sitting at the table. Joe looked at me as if he won the fucking lottery. "Hey." Joe said getting up and pulling me a seat. "Hi." I smiled

We had chicken. It was really good. Mary was cracking jokes and John was being quiet. "Mom can Kelsey and I be excused?" "Sure son don't do anything stupid though." She said. Joe grabbed my hand and we ran up to his room.

I did a flip and and landed on the bed. "You're a cheerleader huh?" He asked me. "I was for Greenville I'm thinking about cheerleading here." I smiled.  "You would be such a pretty cheerleader." He smirked. My face turned red. "You would be a cute basketball player." I said back without thinking.

It was awkward. "I think I'm gonna go." I said nervous" "Wait! Before you go can we take a picture together at least?" We grabbed my hand. I squeezed his hand. "Of course." I giggled His mother took the pic for us. "Take it." He said.

He walked me to my house. "Thanks for dinner."  I said. "Anytime." He giggled

Without a warning he kissed me on the cheek and ran back home. I stare as he sprinted.  I blushed and laughed aloud. "Silly silly boy, I love you also." I whispered and went inside.
