A resigned sigh. And then she dropped to her knees to grab the contents of her bag that has fallen on the floor. No, not fallen... thrown on the floor.
Whoever invented assholes in high school seriously had issues. As if school itself wasn't horrible enough, it just had to be filled with cruel earthlings that called themselves humans.
Bianca doubts it sometimes, these teenagers who found too much enjoyment in spreading misery can't honestly be humans. If they actually are, then at the very least, they're what's wrong with human evolution.
"Can you be any slower?" Jade Manning asked snidely, tapping her foot on the floor impatiently.
Bianca glanced up at her, sorely tempted to grab her leg and throw her damn designer shoes like a football but contented herself by simply glaring.
"If you hadn't thrown my bag in the first place then - "
"Oh just shut up and pick up your damn things. No one asked you to speak."
Bianca Nightgale began walking towards the school entrance as she did her best to be invisible. She wore a baseball cap hiding most of her face, a black vintage t-shirt, a skinny jeans and a pair of red sneakers. As the bell rang, those students who haven't gotten inside the building yet started hurrying to the gate, bumping her to get through their classes which made her slide. One of those who didn't bother getting into classes helped her up, it was Allen Blakely, one of the students popular for breaking hearts, skipping classes and one of the many whose bad records could not be counted.
"Thank you." She muttered, picking up her baseball cap which had fallen due to her fall.
She realized only when she looked up who had helped her, surprised she fell silently still and was not able to talk.
He snickered.
"I'm not bad all the time, you know." He said entering the building and not bothering to wait for her to get over her surprise.
This was one of the miracles she was glad to have been alive to see. One of the few miracles that happened in the world. She smiled to herself as she went to her class, late, yet again. When she got to her class, it was only about to start and thank goodness it was her favorite teacher, because he let her pass without a slip. She sat on a chair in the back where she always sat. She listened intently to Mr. Brin like every word he said mattered. She idolized the guy, he was the only teacher she ever listened fully to. But on other subjects, she'd either be lost on a book or while drawing. Either of the two worked well for her.
Break time had never been fun for Allen Blakely. People always found ways to annoy him. Especially because of who he is, to the students, he was like a god, the hot dude everyone admired. If he ever heard someone say that he was like a 'god' his mood turns sour like it offended him. Anyway, today wasn't different from any days, he sat on his usual table alone, waiting for the girl in front of him to finish talking. For human's sake, he felt like she's been talking for an hour already.
"Yeah, sure, could be fun." He said to the girl bugging her ever since he got into the cafeteria.
"So you'll go?" The girl asked, playing with her hair, trying to flirt with him.
"Sure, whatever.." He replied with a bit of annoyance. "Now if you don't mind, I like eating alone."
The girl straightened up, obviously disappointed.
"Oh, yeah. Well, I'll see you later. My name's Jade, by the way." She waved goodbye.
He didn't reply as the girl finally left him alone.
