ღ 1 ~ first glance

Jennie's POV

As I'm walking towards my house, my mind wonders somewhere. I haven't had time to actually think about my current situation in life. Yes, I'm a student in an university and it's going well. I'm living with my fantastic roommate Chae Young Park, but I often call her just Rosé. We have been friends forever, as long as I can remember. She's amazing. I have also another close friends in my school, Jisoo Kim, but she's in a different room. Actually, she's going to get a new roommate today. She invited me and Rosé to come to them later.

When it comes to my love life, there's nothing much. I have only had one boyfriend in my past, but we broke up due to going in different directions. He was amazing, but at the end, everything felt different. I knew we weren't meant to be. After that, I haven't found anything with anyone. I know that few people have tried to get with me, but nothing has felt right. I'm waiting until I can feel the spark of love again.

I was so in my thoughts that I didn't even notice that I had come to home. I open the door and step in. The warmth from inside wraps around me and it feels good. It's late autumn, so it's pretty could outside. I take off my jacket and shoes. I walk to our small dorm room. I see Rosé sitting on our couch. She hasn't noticed me yet, so I decide to surprise her. I walk silently behind her and put my hands to cover her eyes.

"Guess who!!" - I say playfully. I feel her startle and I can't do nothing but laugh.

"Hmm... I think it's JENNIE UNNIE." - she answers laughing too, but I know she's playfully miffed.

I jump over the couch to sit next to her. She tries to act angry, but can't and we both burst into laughter. It feels to nice to have people like this in my life. Friendship strengthens the soul, as it been said. We just start talking about the normal stuff. I don't even notice how time flies, when it's already time to go see Jisoo and the new roommate. We get up from the couch and step out of our apartment. We walk through a hallway and are soon behind Jisoo's dorm room's door. Rosé knocks the door.

"HELLOO!!" - Jisoo greets us with a wide smile. She hugs us both and lets us in.

"How are you?" - Rosé asks.

"I'm good." - Jisoo answers while we're all walking to her living room.

In front of us I see the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She has big brown puppy eyes and silky hair with bangs. She looks very nervous though, but tries to smile shyly. I look at her and her eyes meet mine. I feel this weird feeling I haven't felt for a long time.

"Jennie, Rosé... meet Lalisa Manoban." - Jisoo introduces the girl to us. Lalisa waves for us.

"Hi, I'm Chae Young Park, but call me Rosé." - Rosé introduces herself.

"H-hi. I'm Jennie Kim." - I say barely getting any voice from me.

"I'm Lalisa, but you can call me just Lisa." - The girl says with a voice of an angel.

"Where are you from?" - Rosé asks.

"I come from Thailand, but I've lived here for a while already." - Lisa answers.

"I was born in New Zealand, but then moved to Australia. Jennie lived in New Zealand for a while." - Rosé speaks.

Lisa nods her head and looks down at her feet. I notice Jisoo seeing this is going to be awkward and opens her mouth.

"Girls, would you all like to go see a movie?" - she asks.

"I want!"- Rosé answers happily.

"Me too." - I say.

Lisa nods her head and we get going right away. The movie theatre isn't far away, but some walking away still. Jisoo and Rosé are walking a bit ahead of me and Lisa and they're talking about something deeply. I don't wanna interrupt them, so I walk silently. I notice Lisa behind me and looking down. Maybe I should talk to her.

"Lisa?" - I say silently. She rises her head and looks at me surprisingly.

"Ye-yeah?" - she answers.

"Are you okay? I know we don't know each other that well, but you seem to be a little down." - I say trying to looks as concerned as I can.

"I'm fine. I guess just a little tired." - she says.

"Okay. Do you see Jisoo and Rosé?" - I suddenly realise.

"N-no.." - Lisa answers looking around her.

"Where did the go?" - I say also looking around. "I didn't take my phone with me, so we can't call them." - I talk a little bit worried.

"I have no idea where we are." - Lisa says also very worried, almost scared.

"Me neither. I think we're lost." - I say and it hits me. WE'RE LOST!

Lisa looks straight into my eyes and I see the worry. I stop walking and she does the same. We just stand and look at each other. Then another things hit me. I feel the spark again. Lisa has changed something inside me. When I look at her, everything else disappears. Her eyes staring at mine feels like everything is going to be okay. There's no worry or nothing to be scared of. It's just me and her together.

But before I get to get totally in lost in her eyes, I hear someone calling us. It's Jisoo and Rosé. I guess they noticed we were missing. I wake up and start calling for them with Lisa. We still take small glances at each others.

Eventually, we find back to Jisoo and Rosé. We wonder how this happened , but start laughing. We decide to go back to out university. Jisoo invites me and Rosé to have a sleepover with her and Lisa and we agree. It's going to be an interesting evening and night.
