ღ 5 ~ fear

Jennie's POV

Two days. Two days since Chae and Chu left. I feel sort of empty inside. I miss their presence already. It is very quiet now. A little too much. Nights are fine, but evenings and mornings are not. I was used to having laughing Chae there, but now I need to get ready for bed alone and ready for school alone. Lisa is in her dorm, so yeah. She is alone too, but I do not dare to bother her by asking could we use one dorm. It is fine, since see each other otherwise during classes.

I look at the time and it is already 10 minutes left to get to class. I have not heard of Lisa yet. I take my phone and try to call her, but she does not answer. I need to go to check on her. I am a little bit worried. I walk to her dorm and knock. No sound. Luckily, Jisoo once gave me a spare key, so I take it out and open the dorm room door. As I step in, I hear coughing, a lot. I run to Lisa's room and I see her. She is sitting on her bed and coughing. Not a normal cough, coughing blood.

"LISA!! " - I scream panicking. She notices me and looks me in the eyes.

I grab my phone the quickest I have ever done and type '119'. I press call and the phone connects to PSAP.

"Hello! What is the matter? " - a nice lady voice answers.

"Hi.. uh my friend is coughing blood. What do I do? " - I talk panicking, but trying to stay calm.

"Stay calm. What do you know? Tell me all your information." - the woman speaks.

"I am Jennie Kim. I am in this university. I found my friend Lalisa Manoban coughing blood in her dorm room. I do not know how it started." - I explain.

"Thank you. Ambulance is on the way. Can you get her to the main entrance? Ambulance picks her up from there." - the lady says.

"Okey. I will try." - I reply.

"Do not close the phone." - the lady informs and so I go to Lisa.

I give her a bucket from kitchen where she can cough. I grab her shoulders and walk keeping her close to me. All I think is that I need to get her safe. While we are walking, Lisa starts shaking. I look at her and she looks me in the eyes. Her eyes are full of fear.

"Lisa-ah, you will be fine. I promise." - I give her a calming smile and draw circles on her shoulder with my finger.

The ambulance comes pretty quickly and they take Lisa. I will go after them alone because I need to pack things and clean Lisa's dorm. I hug Lisa tightly before letting her go. She looks like she is going to cry. I wave at her and the ambulance drives away. I hope everything goes fine.

As I am walking towards Lisa's hospital room four hours after I found her coughing blood, I am miserable. I try hold back my tears. I have never been this scared yet in my life. She has been in many tests and many doctors have checked up on her. I have been just waiting. After Lisa left with the ambulance and I went to her dorm room, I started crying. I just collapsed on the floor on my knees and cried. I have no idea what will happen to her.

I look inside to her hospital room and see her laying on the bed. She looks very tired and I feel sorry for her. I slowly walk in and she sees me. I notice how a little light sparks in her eyes. That warms my heart. I sit next her.

"How are you holding up? How do you feel?" - I ask.

"Been better... at least I don't cough anymore." - she says.

"I brought you changing clothes, your phone and some snacks." - I explain.

"Thank you. Jennie-ah, I cannot thank you enough." - she whispers.

"You are my friend and I know you would do the same for me." - I smile.

Then a doctor comes in and starts doing once again some tests on Lisa. It is very frustrating how they have not found anything yet. It makes me more scared. I believe Lisa too. I rose to stand beside her and she holds my hand. I feel weird sparks in my hand. What is this?
