Merry Christmas ! Sorry for the long break.. I'm still a new writer but i would like to dedicate the following chapter to @jimingleow for being my first follower and giving me my first like. thank you thank you <3

For the first time in his life, the Dark Prince walked on the face of the earth without...a mask. It felt almost unreal to him and a little self conscious initially. He tried to shake the feeling off of him thinking how ridiculous was it to feel this way. But it was really hard for him. When someone saw him, they would stare at him or take a second look.

And for once, he wondered, how did he really looked like to others. No one has ever seen his face. To be honest, he is not too sure why they are staring. Because there is definitely not a scar on his clear face.

Did they recognise him? Is it possible? Then his plan is doomed before it has even begun.

He sighed.

It can't be... Moren gave the same stare with his jaw hanging when he came out of the changing room this morning.

It must be the rumor of the scar. Moren was just shocked there was not a scar on his face. Hah! So easily fooled.

He humored himself.

He walked up to a desk located at the center of the training camp. The sign basically read New Recruits - Sign Up.

"Name," the overweight man sitting behind the desk said, not bothered to look up at him. He was dressed in a blue scholar robe. He must be the steward in the army.

"Shou," he said.

Then the steward looked up at him.

Moren was against this idea. Using his real name. But that was the only information Shou wanted to keep it real. The rest of his identity was made up, he didn't mind. He just wanted to keep his name during his stay in the army. But seeing how the steward was staring at him made Shou thought if his cover was already blown? It can't be that easy right?

The steward stood up with both hands on the table and stared at Shou even more intently, Shou bending backwards a little, moving away from his breath.

"Shou as in the same name as our Crown Prince's name?" the steward questioned him loudly. A few soldiers nearby stopped to look at the newcomer curiously.

Shit.

Shou looked at the steward's face if he has placed any of the pieces together. Then suddenly a roar of laughter broke from the steward's mouth. He dropped down to his chair and laughed heartily with both hands slapping his flabby tummy bouncing with each bulk of laughter. Snickers from the crowd joined in as well.

"K-kid," he struggled to say, unable to stop his laughter, "stop f-fooling around. No one in this past century has the guts to ever name their child after the Dark Prince. Hahaha..."The steward finally got a grip of himself and straightened himself in his seat.

"So, what's your real name?" He wiped a way a tear that has secretly escaped.

Shou was not amused.

"My name is Shou," he stated firmly.

"Hmm..." the steward's facial expression remained not amused. Jokes can only be laughed at once. "Family name? Don't say it is Li," the steward said sarcastically, flipping his book, ready to enroll him into the army. Li was the surname of the current royal family.

"Hann," he answered confidently. He quietly grinned to himself. Moren would scream if he knew that he had borrowed his surname. Hann Moren.

"Alright, Shouuuu," he dragged the name more than he should have. Finishing up his writing, he gave Shou a piece of paper. "This is your camp number and training point. Welcome to the army. Yay," he said it with false enthusiasm. He closed his book with a bang and walked off. It was time for his second breakfast.

Shou opened the piece of paper and read. Basically, his camp was at the end of the army and he was to join the novice low-ranked soldiers.

"Ho ho," a stranger said beside him as he peeked into Shou's paper. "This is what happened when you pissed off that arrogant steward on the first day. He basically placed you at the worst place to sleep in the camp and with the most junior soldiers to train with. What a terrible fate."

"That steward has the power to do that over here?" to decide one's fate. In his army, the general would evaluate a new soldier thoroughly for the first three days before placing them into ranks based on their own abilities. Some soldiers are from a families with martial art backgrounds. They would benefit more with advanced training rather than to start from scratch.

"That steward can do anything he wants. He is the 4th Prince's uncle-in-law," the short pretty boy said.

"I see," Shou said to himself. This is the army's first mistake.

Shou looked at the paper again, a little confused with the directions. "Do you mind showing me the way to my camp?" he asked.

"Sure no problem, I am on the way there myself," the boy said casually.

"Thanks for helping. My name is Shou, what's yours?" he wanted to get acquainted with the first helpful person in the camp.

"Oh yeah, silly me! Forgot to introduce myself" the boy said cheerfully, "I am Reon."
