Ritsuka in the middle. Rem on her right and Lindo on her left. They defeated Lord Nesta, Jek and the other vampires. Lindo and Rem made their confession to Ritsuka.
They were standing with their hands reaching out for her, hoping she would take his.
Rem wanted to take her to the demon realm and wanted her to be his queen.
He did save her a couple of times and was willing to help her find her mother. He was willing to protect her from the other members the student council and risked his own life to come and save her from the vampires. And she knew very well that he didn't know how to, uhm, yeah. Feel. She knew that he had 3 emotions: annoyed, sadistic and neutral (cold), but emotions like happiness or sadness... She never saw that kind of emotions on his face, so let alone love!
And he made a love confession to her! He wanted to share the rest of his life with her. And that is a very long time. Let's just keep it on forever and ever.
On the other hand you got Lindo.
He wanted to share the rest of her life with her (since he is damphire and she human) and protect her. He wanted her to be his.
He was there her entire life. He protected here since he was a kid and his goal in life was and still is to protect her, even if it costs his own life. He learned to keep his vampire side down and trained his whole life. He became an excorsist and even studied excorsims in Britain for her.
He kept his vampire side, Nesta, him being her cousin and him being an excorsist a secret, just for her safety.
He fought his own dad and wanted (and did kinda) to kill him, just for her.
She needed to choose.
Human or devil?
Earth or demon realm?
Family or friends?
Die or live for eternity?
Lindo or Rem?

When the other devils saw that she had chosen Lindo, they were kinda heartbroken. They wanted nothing more than just go.
And that's what they did. They went back to the demon realm.
Rem stayed and watched them from afar.
Bad choice.
He saw them kiss, right in front of his eyes. The love of his life kissing his enemy.
Just seeing them smile, seeing him smile with her, seeing HER smile with HIM.
He couldn't take it and went back to the demon realm.
Little did he know that there was someone else who watched them kiss and felt just as heartbroken as him...
