Shiki's pov

I spread out my wings and started flying south. Raven should be there. As I was flying, I started thinking about the first time Raven and I met.

~Flashback~

It was dark. It was late at night and everybody was asleep. I always thought it was funny. You're immortal and yet you still sleep. I'm the only one that can't sleep though. Well, it was hard for me to sleep. I'm usually up at night and asleep in day time. That's one of the reasons the angels think I'm weird.
I was walking around and spotted a lake. I decided that that would be a good spot to rest for a while. I sat down and looked at my reflection in the water. It was kinda hard to see since it's dark. All I could see were my blue eyes, which almost seem to shine light and my four big, white wings.
I let out a sigh and looked up. You could see the beautiful night sky.

'This is way more beautiful than when it's day.'

Looking back down at the water, I noticed that it was moving. It had little waves coming towards me. The once empty lake was now not only visited by me, but also by a girl. The girl sat in front of me, on the other side of the lake. Her feet was playing with the water while she looked up at the sky.
I don't know why, but she peaked my interest. Following my instinct, I spread my wings and flew over the lake, right next to her. She quickly looked at me, seeming alerted.

"Don't worry. I won't do anything." I told her.

The girl had very, very light blue eyes. I couldn't see what kind of angel she was, since she didn't have her wings out.

"I came here since I can't sleep." I continued.

She gave me a nod.

"It's the same for me." She said. "I can't stop thinking."

"I know the feeling."

Silence

"What's your name?" I eventually asked her.

"That's one thing I'm thinking about." She answered.

"Your name?" I asked confused. I mean, you are supposed to know your own name, right?

"You see..." She mumbled. "I want to change my name, because..."

"You can tell me." I reassured her.

"I don't like it."

"I see." I said softly, nodding my head. "I can understand."

'I don't like my name either...'

"But it's different for me. It isn't just my name which I don't like." She said.

I stayed silent, waiting for her to continue. After a while I figured that she wouldn't.

"I also have things I don't like." I told her. It looks like that caught her attention.

"The thing I hate the most is this place." She looked at me shocked.

"I hate heaven."

"I want to fall." She said quietly. "I hate it here too."

That made me smile.

'Finally someone who understands. Someone like me.'

We smiled at each other for a while, enjoying each other's company. Eventually, I thought it was time for me to go. Father would probably realize soon that I left the house once again. Who knows what he'll do if he finds out. The thought brought a blush to my face.
I stood up and spread my wings.
