**nothing to say.. keep readin'**
Kris' P.O.V.
I wake up to the sound of knocking on Susie's door.
"Kris, honey.. it's quite late. Would you care to stay for dinner?" Susies mum yells through the door.
I wake myself up but I don't move.
"O-oh um.. if it isn't any trouble i'd love to. My mum won't mind." I say to the door."Okay! Sounds like fun! I'm making spaghetti tonight so be prepared!" I hear her footsteps going downstairs.
"Morning Kriiiisssss.." Susie says, ruffling my hair. Then I notice i'm lying on Susies lap. I shoot up.
"I'm so sorry.. uhm- sorry.." I apologise.
"Don't stress it.. you were tired. You need to sleep better." She smiles and I immediatley feel better. I lay against her bed againAnd out of nowhere I have an idea.
"You know what?" I say, scanning her bedroom again. "You should ask Noelle if you can host her party here at your place.."
"Why?" She asks.
"Because your house is massive! If you moved the couches to the side in the loungeroom, you could fit at least 30 people in there." I say.
"We literally have a room for that." Susie mumbles.
"Room for what?"
"For my mums little work parties. She's got a room in the basement thats just a tad bigger than the loungeroom. She hosts all her work outings and stuff down there. Heck, shes got a dance floor down there." I feel my own face light up.
"Plus the basement is like a garage that opens up to the pool area so it's ideal for parties.."
"I'm asking Noelle.. you need to ask your mum about whether or not we can use it on the day!" I suddenly get super excited. Not only will I be able to do anything I want, i'll also be able to decorate, which is a great way to calm down for me. I grab my phone out and kay on my back on Susie's bedroom floor, hastily typing away at the keyboard. I send a text to Noelle about the idea.Aye Noelle, i'm at susie's place. Do u reckon u could change ur Krismoss party venue? Susies house literally has a party room lol.. would b a good idea!
I immediately get a text back.
Rlly? Her house is that big? Well if her parents say yes, of course we can have the party at her place! Txt me back if anything happens!
Susie gets up and walks downstairs, I assume to ask her mum about the party. A few seconds later and I hear a squeal from downstairs. "Yes of course!" I hear her mom yell from downstairs. I laugh to myself.
"Susie to Kris, did ya catch that?! Over!" Susie yells from downstairs.
"Kris to Susie! Got it all, chief! Over!" I yell back. What a dork..
I text Noelle.
Her mum said yes! Thisll be great. Cant wait for it.. ill send u the address l8ter and you can come over early on the day to decorate and shit. Ill help u.
I get yet another instant reply.
Yay! Sounds good!
I leave her on read and turn my phone off. "Susie to Kris! Get down here! The spaghetti apocalypse is starting! Over and out!" I hear Susie yell from downstairs. I immediatley hop up and run downstairs to be greeted with the smell of fresh spaghetti. It smells amazing, and I wouldn't be surprised if Susies mum was a good chef. I sit at the counter next to her and her mum hands us two plates. I dig in.
"I haven't had spaghetti in a while.." i say, my mouth half full.
"Really? It's a popular meal here at my mothers cafe.. I should teach your mum how to make something!"
"Nah.. she never cooks dinner for me. She's never home to cook, so it's usually microwave dinners or cup-o-noodles." I say, holding up two fingers as I count the types of dinners out. Susies mum looks shocked. I keep eating the amazing spaghetti.
"What about you father, does he cook?" She asks out of the blue. I look up at her unnecesarily concerned face.
"He doesn't.. live with me. And if he did, he'd rather die than cook." I explain somewhat enthusiastically, still shoving spaghetti into my mouth.
"And I heard you had a brother, too.. surely he cooks sometimes?" She laughs a little.
"Nah, he left home a while ago after getting kicked from college for being dumb.. went and got a job and a real family to keep him on his feet." I finish my bowl of spaghetti. "Thanks for the food!" I say, wiping my mouth with the napkin her mum handed to me. She looks more shocked and concerned as before.
"Is.. something wrong?" I ask politely, knowing that I might have just said too much. I look at Susie, whos got the same worried expression on her face.
"It's nothing.. listen I have to go make a call, i'll be right back." Her mum makes a start towards the stairs.
"Oh! I best be leaving then.. thanks so much for dinner!" I say, eager to get home so I can take off this mask of happiness and return to my usual self.
Her mum stops. "U-uh.. of course, hon. It was a pleasure having you." She says as she starts to make her way up the stairs. I quickly run upstairs and fetch my bag, then run downstairs again. Susie is just looking at the ground."What's wrong?" I laugh. "Don't wanna see me leave?" I take my jumper out of my bag and pull it on. Susie doesn't move.
"Are you.. ok?" I say, trying to look her in the eyes.
"Hm? Oh.. I was just.. thinking about the party!"
"Ah.. Noelle confirmed it with me by the way, so be mentally prepared for that party room to be thrashed. And remember, I still haven't smoked yet." I say, and I swing my bag onto my back and leave the house, waving goodbye.
"Bye.." I hear Susie mumble as I leave.**ok. Hope you enjoyed that lol.. Kris got so distracted by the amazing spaghetti that she said too much lmao sounds like something I would do.. next chapter in a couple of hours or so I dunno**
