Chapter 1- New jersey

Flying from Washington to New Jersey is forever and a day long.... not really but man does it feel like it! I'm so glad to be going home finally ! I turned 17 last week and I finally get to decide to stay with my dad permanently, I don't really like my mom.. she cheated on my dad a couple years ago but the state thought it would be best to stay with her since my dad sorta spiraled out of control for a while there, which is understandable.

I step off the plane and head into the airport to see my dad at the arrival gate with a sign as big as him

"WELCOME HOME EVE !!!!!"

"Hey dad!!" I say jumping into his arms and hugging him tightly.

"How's my girl doing ! I missed you Eve!!" He says snot bawling

"I missed you too dad" I start crying

After about an hour of waiting for my luggage we start to head to the car

"I've got a surprise for you eve !" He says smiling ear to ear

"What dad ?" I say curious

"It's better if I show you !"

It's about thirty minutes from the airport to my dads house but instead he took a right.

"Where are we going ?" I asked confused

"Do you remember Lisa Dolan ?" He asked trying to hide his smile

"Of course I do! Ethan and Grayson's mom" I start to get excited

"They are home for the holidays, but it's a surprise you're not suppose to know so act surprised" he says - he is terrible at keeping secrets

I chuckle but on the inside I'm freaking out ! I haven't seen the twins in 5 years ! I was twelve and they were fourteen, we used to be best friends ! Our parents grew up together and we would all hang out but when mom screwed everything up I had to say goodbye, yea we texted and talked but eventually that slowed down to eventually we just stopped communicating, they outgrew me and started to do bigger and better things and little ol me was stuck in Washington... dad would always ask me who I had a crush on but in reality it was both... how could you not love both ! They were sweet and kind and funny... I really missed them...
