Moss agate frowned as he looked down onto the quartz floor standing infront a tiny box containing dusty shards, which has never seen sunlight in days.
The Agate's eyes downcasted but slowly shifted onto the box daring to open the box and re collect fallen memories.
He hesitantly reached out.
Only to stop himself.
"No matter how much i tried i could never fight the temptation, isnt that so Labra?"
...
"Silent as ever... It's been a long time hasn't it. Sometimes i feel like im going mad other times it felt like nothing happened only a sliver of memories haunting me. And no this doesn't mean i'm forgetting you. If i do..I will NEVER forgive myself."
His voice slowly quivered as Moss found himself holding the box.
"I..i guess im moving on? It's what you would've wanted...but maybe i'm still stuck in the past"
He sighed, but a hint of longing shone in his green eyes.
"Okay okay enough of this moping, i still need to report to you don't I?"
He chuckled to himself, though it sounded empty despite its attemot to be full of humour.
"... today was not very eventful I would say. Far from the unusual. Your little apprentice- Cyprine was it?
He's doing well with his new job and partner. It seems like he has moved on despite that he still carries those goggles you taught him to craft around. He misses you y'know?
I remembered when he was still a new found gem taken under your cheery wing. Even if you don't seem as responsible you still taught him well and acted mature, and maybe burrowed abit of my acts too? I found that rather cute actually heh despite calling you out on them.
But still you even manage to juggle both your job and patrolling with me very well. Colour me impressed"
...
"...if only you're here to know how impressed i was despite the fact im literally talking to small pieces of you left behind"
Moss smiled softly a look on fondness washes over him as his eyes were locked onto the small box he was holding onto
"Yeah yeah i know. I know that i said i'll drop my moping but i can't help it. I missed you so much..so so much.
But despite on how desperate i must be theres a side to me that knows and accepted the fact that you're never coming back... no one has come back from the moon before"
Moss looked up the sun still shimmered brightly in the crystal clear blue sky. An obvious dangerous sign of possible lunarians.
"I loose track of time easily. I just let it flow. I cant tell if it has been 3 days or not. Everything just repeats itself as i look foward for soemthing exciting to happen the next day. It's a cycle to be stuck on.
Theres nothing much to do
I mean firo is doing his best to keep me content and i love his company and plus you did assign me to baby sit cy havn't ya? A flirty one i must say."
He paused when he noticed someone standing by the doorway of the room, firey orange relfectes onto the floor as the agate looked up.
"Speak of the devil" Moss mumbled quietly onto the box before setting it down with thebother boxes filled with missing shards and such.
"It seems like it's my shift so i'll report to you by tomorrow. Rest well and wait for me labra."
