Going to Gringotts

Without even waiting for a reply he gives the signal to Ernie, the bus driver. At the most dangerous speed possible, they were off. Half the time was spent on avoiding multiple collisions with muggle drivers, not that they could see the Knight Bus. Five minutes later the bus came to an abrupt halt that almost had me flying halfway down the aisle.

I stand up slowly getting ready to the stillness of the bus and shakily make my way out the bus. Once I'm off the bus, it takes off again with a bang of purple smoke. I rest on the pavement outside so that I can get my breathing back to normal. I can feel my heart beat slow down to a steady thump, thump opposed to the erratic hammering it had been doing previously.

Once I have my breathing back under control I stand up and survey my surroundings. The bus had oh-so-kindly dumped me outside the Leaky Cauldron, which for some reason muggles are completely oblivious to. Oh right, the Ministry of Magic has a Notice-me-Not charm and a muggle-repelling ward put up around the place so that it stays within the Statue of Secrecy. It's a good thing they have the Statue of Secrecy because without it muggles would be coming to wizards for every single little problem they have. I open the door to the dingy, old and dusty pub and start to make my way to the bar. On my way there I am earning some weird looks from the other customers. I get to the bar and spot the Barman, Tom, cleaning a dirty glass with an equally dirty rag.

"Hello Harry, what can I do for you today", he asks giving me a crooked, toothy grin.

"Nothing much today Tom, I just need you to grant me access to the back door so I can get through to the Alley.

"I see, well come on then. What are you waiting for? I don't have all day."

With that parting remark, we left the pub through the back door and Tom took his leave once he saw that I no longer needed his assistance. After he left I tapped the brick wall in a very particular sequence. Three up, two across and then with three taps with my index finger something magical started to happen.

The bricks I had touched started to quiver — it wriggled — in the middle, a small hole appeared — it grew wider and wider — a second later I was facing an archway big enough to walk through. I step into the Alley and when I look behind me I see the hole that had been created start to shrink and get smaller and smaller until the only thing that was there was an empty wall.

Looking around I notice Diagon Alley hasn't changed much apart from the few advertisements lining shop windows, nothing had changed. I briskly walk down the Alley heading to Gringotts that was at the opposite end of the street. Gringotts is a snowy, white building that towers over the other little shops, with its exquisite outer exterior all the other shops pale in comparison. Standing beside its burnished bronze doors, wearing a uniform of scarlet and gold, were goblins guarding the entrance with a fierce expression. When I walk through the doors I come across another set of doors in silver, it has words engraved upon them:

Enter, stranger, but take heed Of what awaits the sin of greed, For those who take, but do not earn, Must pay most dearly in their turn. So if you seek beneath our floors A treasure that was never yours, Thief, you have been warned, beware Of finding more than treasure there.

Taking care to remember that warning I step through the silver doors, into the marble walls of Gringotts. Seeing as there was no one in the line I walk up to the teller and say

"Good Day Teller Goblin, I have would like to see the Potter Family Goblin, BloodDagger". The teller's eyes had widened when I had called him by his titles and BloodDagger full title

"I will have someone see if BloodDagger is busy at the moment, Mr. Potter", he replies. He calls for another goblin in what I assume is Gobbledegook and a goblin comes running. The goblin walks down a different corridor most likely going to BloodDagger's office. After a minute he comes back down the corridor and calls out for me.

"Mr Potter, BloodDagger will be seeing you now". I follow the goblin down the way he had come, and when we get there he nods his head rather stiffly at me then goes back to his station. I knock on the door three times, waiting for a voice.

"Come in, Mr Potter. I've been expecting you", BloodDagger drawled. I walk into his office and the first thing I see is an axe. I have to blink a couple times just to make sure I'm not imagining it. The whole office was covered with many different types of goblin-made weapons. But the scariest thing of all was BloodDagger. BloodDagger definitely looks like a goblin warrior but what really gave me the creeps is his smile. He gave me not a smile, a grin. A grin that was so wide you could see every single rotting, crooked teeth of his.

"Take a seat, Mr Potter, make yourself comfortable". I take a seat cautiously, not letting down my guard.

"So Mr Potter, what can I do for you today?", he drawled curiously.

"I would like to take the Inheritance Test," I say confidently.

"Is that so Mr Potter?", BloodDagger asks slightly shocked.

" It has come to my attention by a reliable source that some important things have been hidden from me," I say determination written across my features.

"Are you sure you want to do this Mr Potter?".

"Yes, I have thought over the consequences and have come to my decision. I want to do a complete Inheritance Test and a Power Block Test."

"Here are the supplies you will need to take the test", BloodDagger says reaching into one of the drawers on his desk. He pulls out a bowl carved from some sort of metal, and a dagger. Along with that are a quill and a piece of parchment.

"This is a ritual bowl that is used when making tests about a person's history. It is pretty simple, all you have to do is make a cut in the palm of your hand with the ritual dagger and let seven drops of your blood drip into the ritual bowl. Once the bowl has glowed blue it means that you are indeed Harry James Potter. Then I will take the inheritance quill and dip it in your blood. When I place the tip on the piece of parchment it will start writing out who your ancestors are and what you have inherited from them," he explains.

"Okay, is that all I needed to know?".

"Yes Mr Potter, that is all". With a nod, I cut my hand with the dagger and to my surprise, it didn't hurt. I raised my eyebrow at BloodDagger, and all he did was wave his hand dismissively. I carried on with the procedure until it came for the time for BloodDagger to place the quill on the parchment. As soon as the quill came into contact with the parchment it started racing along the page words flowing from the tip at a high speed. After five awkward minutes, the quill finally stopped writing.

And what I saw shocked me.

Hello Guys!, sorry I haven't been updating. I took a break from Wattpad for Christmas and New Years but I'm back! Yes, that is a little cliffhanger, so you'll just have to wait and see what comes next.
