It's been three weeks since the arrival of the crew of the shadow of intent and everyone was getting along quite well. Santa gave the crew a lesson on everything about remnant, which had mixed reactions. After the lessons had finished Shipmaster and Locus asked 284 if they could build a city around the structure, she agreed and they finished it two days ago and now they had plans to expand the city. (They built it with halo wars logic, deal with it)
Locus Nominated himself to go scouting to see how far they should expand, Noble 6 offered to accompany him which he accepted. that was an hour ago, current they were in the forest on the outskirts of the city, and it was actually a bit boring so 6 decided to try and start a conversation.
Noble 6: "So, Locus, can you please tell me what the flood is?"
Locus: "I thought I told you not to ask."
Noble 6: "Well I'm going to keep asking until I get an answer."
Locus: "(sigh) your not going to stop, are you?"
Noble 6: "Nope."
Locus: "Fine, the flood are a species of highly virulent parasitic organisms that can reproduce and grow by consuming sentient life forms of sufficient biomass and cognitive capability. The Flood was responsible for consuming most of the sentient life in the galaxy, notably the forerunners, during the 300-year-long forerunner-flood war."
Noble 6: "Oh, what about the Grimm?"
