chapter 5: you don't know me (elizabeth gilles)

Honestly? Walt wants to cry. He looked everywhere for his super girl and he couldn't find her. Johanna, his classmate with short blonde hair stared at him with big confused eyes when he suggested that she saved him. Holland Wood on the other hand, he isn't so confident about. She was his last choice, because she seemed heartless. She was a player who changed boyfriends every few months and he thinks it would be impossible for her to be the girl.

"You sure it's not Holly, bro?" says Mario, his best friend. Mario is an average guy that everyone kind of knew. He was Latino, which attracted girls a lot. He changes girlfriends every month or so, making him a low-key heartbreaker in the school.

Walt shook his head, "nah, it can't be. She looked at me like I was a freak."

"She looks at everyone like that. Except her boyfriends."

At that precise moment, Holly passes by, giving him an inconspicuous look. She didn't notice the way his crutch was positioned and she falls, but Walt lets go of his crutch and holds her. He knows. Walt feels it; from the way she's been looking at him lately.

"It's you," he declares, steadying her on her feet.

She doesn't deny it this time. "It's me."
