Draco sat alone in the far end stall in the prefects bathroom. His tears washing away the fresh makeup.
"Draco? You in here?" She was answered with a sob. She ran to the source and threw open the stall door, instantly wrapping her arms around Draco. She made soothing sounds as she rubbed his back. He buried his head in the crook of her neck, her heart breaking with each horrid sob. His warm tears spilling out all over her. She held him close and pet his hair, hoping the pattern would calm him. She planted a soft kiss atop his head, rocking him back and fourth like a baby.
"Shhhh, it's alright, sweetie." Another kiss on the head. He looked up at her, her eyes meeting cold, puffy, red eyes. He choked on a sob.
"P-pans, I-I- I l-love him!" He screamed.
"I know Draco, I know." He clutched his stomach and Pansy got him over the toilet in time for his insides to come back up. She rubbed his back as he emptied his stomach. He leaned into Pansys embrace, ravishing in the warmth and comfort. She looked over his head into the bowl.
"What happened to eating more?" She asked, taking in the thick, clear fluid.
"Pans..."
"Dray, you have to eat. I know you don't when you get depressed, but look at you! I've seen you naked! You look like a skeleton! It's scary..."
"I'm sorry..."
"It's not healthy to be able to feel your rib cage. Through your robes for that matter."
"Pans...I don't know what to do..."
"I know sweetie...I know..." she continued to soothe him until his uncontrollable sobs ceased. They stood up, flushing the toilet before going over to the sinks to wash Draco's mouth out. They both looked at his sickly figure in the mirror. Pansy frowned and hugged him close. They made there way back to the Great Hall. The two first years ran towards him when he caught there eye.
"Draco! Are you ok?" Theodore asked with worry lacing his voice. The two took in his sick and sad appearance. His eyes a light shade of pink, his lips chapped.
"You look...sick?" He kneeled down on one knee to achieve there height.
"Never better." He plastered a fake smile on his face. The two didn't believe it but they didn't want to make matters worse so they remained quiet. Pansy continued staring Harry down. He took in Draco's form with confusion. 'Was he crying?' he asked himself. 'Has that scar always been there?'
"Come along you two, we have more places to tour." He gave Harry one last pained look and the group left."Draco, seriously, are you ok?" Victoria asked with concern. He just looked at his feet and sped his walking.
"Dray?" Pans put a hand on his shoulder, the bone almost stabbing her.
"Tell them...if we're going to be together in sessions then we mustn't keep secrets..."
"Ok, love." Pansy walked back to where the two were and glanced at Draco for any sign of regret. She saw nothing but pale pain and numbness. She spoke in a high whisper making sure no nosy ears were listening in on the conversation. "Draco, you see, as I said, he's gay." Both nodded in confusion. "Well, he's had a huge crush on the golden boy since second year." Both looked at Draco in astonishment but didn't show signs of anger or feelings at all. Victoria just looked overly happy.
"Awwww, that's so cute!" She whisper yelled.
"I know. But he's under the impression that Harry hates him."
"That's because he does." He chimed in.
"Dray he's only like that because when you try to flirt it comes out as an insult or sarcasm."
"I can't help it, that's how I was raised." He snapped at her.
"Dray, sweetie, I know. Look maybe I could talk to him, get you two to meet up and you two can just talk." He stopped in his tracks.
"He won't talk, Pans. Plus, if I tell him he'll go and tell Weasley and Granger...then before you know it all of Gryffindor will know, then the whole school. Then my fucking father will hear!" His voice rose attracting more attention then needed." Then he'll beat me again!" He yelled at her. Gasps were heard all around while everyone in the Hall stared at him. He looked around knowing he'd just fucked up. An audible gulp was heard as his eyes started turning pink and puffy. Pansy grabbed his boney wrist and dragged him down the corridor while everyone stared. The blond kept his eyes down, his fringe covering his falling tears. The siblings followed behind. She pulled him into an empty classroom, instantly being attacked by the blonde, his tears drenching her collar.
"Shh Shh, I'm right here Dray, it's alright."
"I'm dead, Pansy! I'm dead! I'm dead!" He screamed into the soundproofed classroom. The two covered there ears at the profound wailing. Draco pulled out his wand.
"Accio Razor." He said with a shaky breath. Pansys face dropped at the small blade making its way into his hand.
"Don't you dare!" Draco held the blade to his wrist. Theodore was the first to run over to the blond and tackle him, pinning him on his stomach. He screamed. The siblings restrained Draco while Pansy went and got Snape. Being terribly skinny and weak from lack of food, he was no match. Once Snape caught her eye she ran to him. In the great hall the professor was supervising. Once he noticed her frantic state he knew of the situation. They both ran to the small room, earning confused looks from passing students. They entered the room and the color drained from there face. Victoria and Theodore were in the corner of the room restrained by some spell. There Draco sat, in the middle of the floor. Covered in blood. Pansy made her way over to her best friend, pulling him close, not saying a word. His sniffles were so faint he sounded like that of a kitten. He hissed as the salty tears dropped onto the fresh cuts. He held his wrists close to his stomach, his insides churning at the scarlet liquid. He made a gagging noise causing Pansy to quickly hold him over her lap. Clear fluid made its way onto the stone floor beside them. Draco dry heaved up any liquid he could. The saliva and acid turned a crimson color as the blood dripped from his cuts. He clawed at his throat looking for relief. Pansy untied his tie and unbuttoned his white dress shirt. Pale scars tattooed his chest, acting as a path for the blood from his fresh wounds. The gagging ceased and Draco heaved over his best friend, sobbing like a child. Pansy pulled him close, accepting a damp cloth given to her by Snape. She wrapped the cloth around his arm while rocking him, gently cradling his blond head like he was as delicate as porcelain. After a few minutes his tears stopped flowing and he snuggled into the provided warmth, closing his eyes, sleep overtook him.
