Snape brought the blonde back onto school grounds, making sure they went unnoticed by any passing students. The pair made it to a room hidden from the other witches and wizards in the castle. Snape plopped Draco down onto a couch seated against the brick wall, two first years were sitting across from him, going unnoticed by the 5th year. Snape cleared his throat.
"Draco." He said sternly. He was met with silence. "I have assigned you the job of showing Victoria and Theodore around the castle. They are new to Hogwarts and there like you." Draco looked up at him when he said the last three words. He looked over at the siblings and gave a sympathetic smile. "Don't worry you two, he may look a bit mean, but when he is, he's doing so to protect himself. He's really not that bad once you get to know him, just a bit sarcastic." Draco rolled his eyes at Snapes words before walking over to the two sitting in the corner. He crouched down in front of them, taking in the scars on there wrists.
"Hey, it's alright. You can trust me. I'm like you." He finished off his last sentence by pulling up his sleeve, revealing fresh cuts marking him up to his elbow.
"Draco! We've talked about this. Those are fresh! I had thought we were making progress?"
"We were, professor. But...something happened, I don't want to talk about it..." Snape pinched the bridge of his nose. "I tried, honest. It was just so hard..."
"I understand, just please come to me when you feel the need to do that and I will help you."
"Yes, professor." Snape left. Draco turned to look at the two, both staring at his arm. Draco pulled his sleeve down in a haste. "Sorry, sorry. I guess I should show you two around a bit, huh?" He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small vile of foundation and smeared it over his scar. Blending it out, he glance at the two. "Come on, this way." Draco held out a hand, which was eagerly accepted by the two. "I say we start at the Great Hall. You two like food?" They both nodded in unison. "The Great Hall is filled with food from all around the world. You never know what you'll eat next."
"Can we get a snack when we get there?" Theodore asked enthusiastically.
"Of course, though I'm not sure what they'll have."
"We'll eat anything." Victoria spoke. They entered the Great Hall, the sounds of gossip and friends just talking filled the air causing the place to feel like a muggle school cafeteria. Draco locked eyes with a certain person from the Slytherin table and rolled his eyes as she made her way towards the small group.
"Incoming." He whispered to the two.
"Dray!" Pansy yelled as she hugged her best friend. They both greeted each other by faire la bise, air kissing each other's cheeks like they do in France.
"Hey, Pans." Pansy looked down at the siblings and held out her hand, both taking it.
"Dray, who are these adorable Ravenclaws?" She asked, holding out her hand, both taking it. "I'm Pansy."
"I'm Victoria and this is my Brother, Theodore. We're new here and Draco is showing us around."
"Are you two dating?" Theodore asked out of the blue, Victoria face palming herself. Both 5th years spoke together.
"No! We're best friends." They explained.
"Draco isn't into women." Pansy exposed.
"Pans!"
"It's alright, Draco, we don't judge." Draco's features softened.
"Thanks, please don't tell anyone."
"We won't." Theodore said. The siblings heads whipped around when they caught sight of a certain famous wizard.
"Harry Potter!" Victoria yelled as her and her brother ran towards him, causing him to turn around and smile. Draco and Pansy followed pursuit, not wanting to lose track of them. They listened as the two rambled on about how amazed they were when they found out about Harry for the first time. Pansy leaned in and whispered in Draco's ear.
"Are you ok? You know, around him?" He nodded but Pansy knew he was lying. Harry looked up into the icy eyes of the blonde with anger.
"What do you want, Malfoy?" Harry spoke with venom in his voice. Theodore answered for him.
"Draco's showing us around the school." Harry smirked.
"Malfoy? You two watch your backs around him. He'll backstab you in an instant. He's right foul git."
"Shove off, Potter. He's doing better. You don't know what he-" before she could finish, Draco shoved her away and walked. Pansy growled in frustration. "Now you've done it. Watch them." She ran off in the blondes direction.
