Harry awoke to strained moans coming from the boy in his arms. He looked over at the clock, reading 3:02am. How long did we sleep? Another groan and shift. Harry looked down at the boy in his arms and cringed. His eyebrows were knitted together in discomfort. Harry nudged Draco in the shoulder, trying to shake him awake.
"Dray, wake up, love." Draco responded by thrashing around more roughly then earlier. The Moans coming from the back of the blondes throat were inhuman, the mumbled words being spoken frightened Harry.
"Father please...no...I'm sorry, father..." Harry knew then that they weren't nightmares, but memories. He looked up at the sound of his name. "Harry...don't...don't leave me Harry, please..." Tear tracks made the way down porcelain skin.
"I'm not going anywhere, love." He kissed his lovers cheek, coaxing him from the terror in his mind. All of a sudden, a broken off scream could be heard. Draco lurched up in bed, sweat and tears running down his face. Harry laid a hand on the boys shoulder, receiving a jump and yelp in shock. "Calm down, baby. You're all right...Shh..." He soothed, running his hand up and down the pale boys back, tracing every evident vertebrae. After a few minutes, his breathing calmed. He turned to face Harry with pain and fear written on his face. "Hey, come here." Harry opened his arms, Draco took to the inviting warmth, burying his face in the other boys broad chest. He sniffed then sighed.
"Sorry I woke you up..." It came out lower than a whisper, but Harry heard every word.
"It's alright, babe. As long as you're okay, I don't really care. Sleep can wait." Harry laid them back in the bed, Harry's chest now a pillow for a head of blonde hair. Leaning down, he kissed the cold, sweat coated forehead. Leaning down further he whisper three sweet words. Words Draco has never truly heard from anyone other than Pansy and his mother. Words that made him feel happy and safe.
"I love you."
