Another page was opening up and the future was sprawling in front of them.

The Winter Cup was over. Make room for a new act.

Kagami saw Kuroko move away from Akashi and Rakuzan and took his chances.

- Kuroko! Seirin's Ace shouted.

Kuroko turned his head towards him and Kagami's heart definitely shattered when his former shadow ducked his head. He seemed to shrink.

« He is scared of me. Oh, Kuroko, I am so sorry... » Kagami internally whined.

His ex-teammate's face turned white, milky white. His eyes widened and his breath hitched. Kagami gulped. Had he scared him that much?

Ready to throw himself on his knees to seek forgiveness, he moved a bit closer and in a matter of seconds understood that Kuroko was not looking at him.

He wasn't scared of him but of what was behind him.

He then turned around and saw two persons. They were standing straight and were raising their chin in an arrogant way.
The woman had platinum blond hair forming a short angled bob. Her blue eyes were as cold as ice. She was looking at the gymnasium and the basketball players the same way a king would dominate his land.

She was smiling and Kagami immediately hated her. Her smile was fake -so fake- and so tensed. Not natural at all.

The man he, was clearly older than the woman. He had to be around ten years older then her and the years seemed to have reinforced his arrogance. He had a smaller figure than Kagami and the tiger was sure that he could throw him on the ground with a simple punch. He had black eyes but they were not a deep and enchanting black, they reminded him of the viscous tarmac. They shone with a malicious spark.

Both were wearing high quality and designer clothes. Kagami looked up and his heart skipped a beat when he saw the man's hair color.
Blue. That pale blue hair he had already seen on Kuroko.

Those persons were his parents and seeing the shadow's reaction, Kagami was ready to bet that they were not loving nor caring. Quite the contrary.

He then did what he thought was the most suitable. He quickly approached a petrified Kuroko, gently grabbed his wrist and pulled him behind him.

He heard the woman's voice call his son and they both shuddered when they heard the malice weeping from her voice. Seirin's Ace swore -where were this asshole of Akashi and this idiot of Aomine when we needed them?!- Murasakibara's gigantic stature too would've been useful!

But deep inside, Kagami was de-ligh-ted to have such an occasion to seek forgiveness to his shadow. Shit! Former shadow, he internally sighed.

He lead him in the labyrinth formed by the hallways and ended up in front of Rakuzan's changing room. Kuroko pretended to slow down but Kagami hurried. Those changing rooms would to obvious of a hiding place. They then arrived to Seirin's in which they entered. Kagami dropped Kuroko's wrist and locked the door behind him.

He sighed with relief but tensed when he saw that Kuroko had let himself fall onto the floor, shook. He moved closer but Kuroko stepped back, his face hidden by his hands.
