I looked harder at the shape. I squinted my eyes until they were nearly closed.

"What the Hell?" I thought, "Is that a dog?" Again, I looked at the figure, but instead of a dog I saw a boy. A very handsome boy at that. He looked about 16-years-old. He had short, auburn colored, and his hair had a bright green streak in the front . He was about 6 foot 4 inches tall, and his body was pure mucsle.

" ............Woah." I gaped at the boy until I felt like a stalker, and looked away. " Oh my god. He is fine." I looked back up, only to see a dog again. "Must be his." I figured.

I had decided to go back to sleep. I  walked away from the window and got into bed. I stole one more glance at the dog and went to sleep.

That morning when I woke up, it was Sunday. Which ment tomorrow, I will be starting my new school. I knew absolutely no one here, and I was starting my jounir year in high school. I have lived in New York my whole life and if you just plop a city girl into the country........ It just doesn't work. I'm gonna have to adjust though.

" Good morning, Kendall." said my mom.

" Uh. Huh?" I said groggily.

" Kendall. You start school tomorrow. Are you excited?" asked my Dad inbetween his mouthfuls of bacon, eggs, and toast.

        "Oh. Yeah. I'm thrilled."

" Come on. Let's go get all your supplies." My mother called from the kitchen.

We drove to the store and five binders, 2 packs of pencils, 1 pack of pens, 300 sheets of paper, three notebooks, and one scientific calculator later we were on our way back home. I had deciced to clean up the crap I had stuffed in the nooks and crannies the other day. I worked for about 30 minutes before I finished.

" Hey, Mom. I'm gonna go out." I called.

" Okay. Be back before supper." she replied

I pulled on my jean shorts, my Batman shirt, and my black Converse. Then, I grabbed my house keys and walked out the door. As I walked down the street, I breathed in the summer air. It sucked to know this was my last free day to do whatever I wanted.

"Well, I have until 6:30 p.m. to do anything I want. I guess I'll go to the park," I told myself, " After all it'is only two blocks down."

I walked about half a block before I saw him. The boy I saw outside my window last night. He was mowing his lawn with his shirt off.

" Of course his shirt is off." I watched him for about 15 seconds, before he looked up. I quickly looked down and kept walking.

" Hey. Do you need something?" He asked me.

" Oh. No, sorry. I didn't mean to bother y....."

" Nah, it's no problem I'm done anyway." He interupted, though I didn't mind. It wasn't like I was gonna say something to make the situation any better for me.

" Um... Okay. I guess I'll see you around" I said and hurried off.

" Hey, wait," he ran up to me with incredible speed," Can I buy you some dinner,or something?"

" Oh, yeah. That would be..... that would be nice, thank you." I couldn't believe it. The cutest boy I had ever seen just asked me out.

        " My name is Jesse."

" Kendall." We shook hands and he smiled his gorgeous smile.

" I'm gonna run inside and change real quick. Do you want to come in and wait?" He asked.

        " No, that's alright. I'll wait here."

He hurried inside and I stood there stuck with disbelief. " Did he really just ask me out?" I questioned myself. I thought about the fact that I had just been asked out during my first week in Germantown.

He came out of his house in jeans and a purple polo and black converse. He turned to lock his front door, when, out of the blue, came a scream. A scream that sounded close.
