Christmas Wishes

Part 3-Tuesday December 25th

*Joes POV*
It took about 20 minutes until we pulled up outside the Busswell family home and I couldn't have been happier with the first impression I'd made, I chatted to Mark all the way there about Strictly, my career, his career and obviously our most mutual connection, Dianne.
He gave me the usual 'dad talk' and soon learnt how in love I was with his daughter, we also laughed at hilarious stories that he would tell about Diannes childhood, it had me in stitches I'd definitely have to bring some of that up in conversation with her later but for now I can't wait to get her surprise underway!
"Mark do you mind being in my video?"
"Are you kidding? I've been waiting for this since I started making Dot shout me and her mum out" he sounded so excited about it, it made me so happy! I can feel myself becoming comfortable around him already.

I pulled out my vlogging camera "hey guys" I whispered even though we were still outside the house "I've arrived at the Busswell family home with the legend that is Mark Busswell" I flipped the camera towards Mark and he was in his element "G'day everyone"
"It's the middle of the night here in Australia" I used my best Australian accent earning a laugh and shake of the head from Mark
"I'm going to go in now, meet the rest of the family and then sleep for a while before I wake Dianne in the morning! WISH ME LUCK" I cross my fingers towards the camera before shutting it off and putting it away.
I was inside admiring the interior of the house, it feels so homely in here, when Rina tip toes towards me, "Joe, I'm so happy to finally meet you, I've just checked on our Dot and she's fast asleep, we're safe until at least 6am, she always gets up early at Christmas" Rina can't contain her voice to a whisper
"Rina I'm so happy to meet you too" I pull her into a friendly hug "I'm going to set an alarm for 5 so I can sort her presents and make sure I'm in her room with her before she wakes up"

We sit up for around an hour drinking tea and getting to know each other before I stifle a yawn
"Come on Mark, we can talk to Joe plenty for the next week, poor think has just flown over 17 hours to get here"
I was handed some pillows and a blanket "obviously you'll be in with Di tomorrow but I hope this is okay for now, goodnight Joe"
"Night" I yawn falling asleep almost instantly

*5am*
My alarm sounds and I try to stop it as soon as it starts I can't risk waking Dianne after keeping it a secret for this long, I put the large pile of presents that I brought with me for her and her family under the tree before freshening myself up and slowly creeping into Diannes bedroom, by this point it was already 6 am and I knew Dianne didn't mind being up early so I decided that now was as good a time as any.

Creeping last her bed slowly I placed my vlogging camera on a chest of draws the other side of the room before making my way over to my sleeping girlfriend, it's only been a few days since I last saw her but it felt like forever, I knelt beside her bed admiring her beauty, no makeup, hair splayed out over the pillows and covers all over the place she was still the most beautiful girl I had ever laid my eyes on.
I reached out my hand and wrapped a strand of hair around my fingers, "Dianne" I whispered gently, "Merry Christmas my love"
"Mmmmmmm" she moaned rolling over to face me, not yet aware enough to open her eyes I leant down and kissed her forehead, her nose, her cheek and the her lips "Dianne wake up, its Christmas"

*Diannes POV*
I woke to a muffled noise and what I thought was my nephew and niece poking me on the face but I couldn't have been more wrong "okay okay I'm awake" I yawned rubbing my eyes, I finally opened my eyes to greet my early Christmas guests when I froze in my tracks
"Merry Christmas Dianne"
"JOE" I threw myself at him giving the biggest hug I've ever given anyone, resting my forehead on his I whispered "what are you doing here?" My eyes began to fill with tears, "well I was just passing" he joked making me hit his arm playfully "no, I have been planning this with your dad for months, we both knew how hard it was for you to decide who to be with for Christmas so we made the decision for you...both of us!" I looked into his eyes "this is the nicest thing anyone has ever done for me Joesph Sugg" leaning forward I gave him a kiss full of all the love I could, pulling away I looked into his eyes again "I love you so much"
"I love you too Dianne Busswell, more than you will ever know"

We laid together for a while, in our little bubble of happiness before Mum and Dad burst in
"SURPRISE DOT, MERRY CHRISTMAS"
"I knew there had been something fishy going on around here recently" I replied making eyes at both of my parents before jumping into a massive group hug 'you guys are the best"
I pulled Joe in to join us
"um guys" I said trying to sound serious "it's nearly 8am and I haven't opened any presents, what the hell is going on"
Everyone laughed and tutted at me, I tugged on Joes arm sending us both flying out of my bedroom towards the tree surrounded by presents, I looked at a pile that I knew were definitely not there last night and I know my parents wouldn't have done that we laid all of ours out yesterday "what are those" I asked Joe giving him a stern look
"They're from me" he held his hand up before I could speak "I know I already gave you some and I also know that we agreed not to but I don't care, I love you and I wanted you to know just how much so you've got a present for every week that we were on strictly, every Sunday I went out and bought one after we knew that we were through they're stupid really"
I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my face, wrapping my arms around Joes neck I pulled him in and kissed him gently, he really was the most precious boy ever.

I heard my mum and dad aww behind me but all I could do was hide my face in his shoulder whispering, 'I love you Joseph'

*Joes POV*
We sat for a few hours laughing, getting to know each other and opening presents, I had bought Dianne a small present each week to remind her of each of our dances,
Week 1- Jive, I bought her a frame with the musical score of Take On Me in it, week 1 was such a special week for us both

Week 2-Charleston, she got a china mug with a little picture of a thatched cottage on it, I'd also filled the mug with her favourite types of tea.

Week 3-American Smooth, I had ordered a special edition of the High School Musical box set and some posh popcorn so we could have a movie night.

Week 4-Cha Cha, i got a little rainbow coloured disco ball Christmas decoration because it reminded me of the outfit Dianne had worn to do the dance.

Week 5- Waltz, A small music box that when opened played rainbow connection, I knew this weeks present had to be special.

Week 6-Foxtrot, I searched high and low before finally finding a lipstick very similarly the one Di always wears but this one was called Youngblood

Week 7- Paso, As a joke I bought her a Obscure yoga poses book, which included the wind extraction pose, because we had so many laughs about it that week!

Week 8-Samba, A Mr Bean teddy to remind her of me and my stupid dance moves, I think I'd make a better Mr Bean than dancer to be honest.

Week 9-Quickstep, I bought a Blackpool Tower Ballroom plaque for her flat, I know how much Blackpool meant to her.

Week 10-Street, Because we're both competitive I bought her a mini basketball set for her dressing room, I can't wait to beat her at that.

Week 11-Salsa, I bought her, her very own technicolored coat made up of colourful sequins.

Week 12-Viennese Waltz, I got her A small pair of gold heart shaped earrings  as I thought they went perfectly with the meaning of the dance.
Argentine Tango, I also got her her very own flat cap just like mine, we're going to look so cute matching.

Week 13-Showdance, the last present is a necklace in the shape of a guitar pick with 'd&j' engraved into the front of it, this was the most special of them all.

I watched my beautiful girlfriend open all of her gifts, smile spreading from ear to ear after seeing each one. In this moment I'm the happiest that I've ever been.
