I find myself walking back to Jeremy's room. I have no idea what just happened back there down the hall. It was so weird. The way Ashton greeted me was as if I were just an old friend. However, it could've gone way worse. For all I know, I could've poked one of his eyes out.

"So the good news is, his coughing isn't too serious. Jeremy just had an asthma attack," The kind doctor spoke.

"Asthma attack? How can he get an asthma attack? Jeremy never had asthma before," My words unexpectedly fasten their pace. Man, aren't I annoying.

"As I've said before, it isn't anything too serious, for now at least. If his coughing becomes worse, here's an inhaler."

"Oh, right. Thank you."

"No problem at all, Miss Gray."

After 20 minutes of trying to check Jeremy out of the hospital, we eventually made it back to the car.

"How are you feeling Jeremy?" My voice echoed throughout the car.

"I'm fine, you can stop worrying."

"Okay, sorry, just making sure. We didn't forget anything, right?"

"I don't think so," Marcus added. My hands rubbed the surface of the pockets of my jeans. Okay, I have my phone and empty wallet. What else am I forgetting?

"Shit," I muttered.

Ashton.

I completely forgot about Ashton. I somewhat promised that I would meet him. It's not like he would be upset; he barely knows me.

"Did you forget something?" Marcus' question followed a low chuckle.

"I-uh-no," I lied. They didn't need to know about a silly boy I bumped into (literally) in the hospital. Ashton probably forgot about me, anyways.
