I hope you enjoyed this short story. I was going against the grain for general storylines in this one. Most main characters start out with a rough family life, people either feel the pain of this having been through it themselves, or feel bad for the character. I wanted to create a character that had a good family life for that reason.
I also wanted her to change not herself but others. The goal here was to use her as a tool to change other people for the better. This is also something that other stories don't usually do. Sadly, this made the main character very Mary Sue. The minor characters came out as more interesting in the end, because they had obvious problems one way or another.
I also practiced some subtle foreshadowing with this story, I tried to make the foreshadowing subtle, but without an objective opinion, I can't really tell. I might produce more short stories, but doubt they'll be very similar to this one.
In all, I hope you enjoyed reading this. If my story was interesting enough that you've read it all the way through, then I'm happy with that.
