A small buzzing noise echoed throughout the once silent room, jolting the boy in bed awake.

He glanced at the time, quietly cursing at the time before swinging his legs over the side of the bed and turning his alarm off. He walked into the bathroom and looked into the mirror, cringing at the sight that was his body.
Lifting his shirt, he saw the bruises that littered his torso, decorating his honey like skin with a dark purple tinge. There was a small cut on his lip, dried blood around it and on his chin along with the collar of his shirt. He ran a hand through his hair, wincing when he felt dried blood in his hair and a small gash on his scalp.

Whatever, it's been worse.

The boy sighed before cleaning himself up, jumping into the shower and washing off the blood. He got out a few minutes later, drying himself off and putting on some makeup in order to conceal the cut as much as possible, along with the bags under his eyes.

Okay, Jimin, just get dressed and make some breakfast. Won't have enough time to eat yourself though.

Jimin quickly threw on some loose trousers along with a long sleeved shirt and baggy hoodie, making his way downstairs as quietly as possible after slipping some shoes on.
The boy proceeded to quickly make some toast along with scrambled eggs and bacon, putting said food on a plate before grabbing his bag and walking out of the house. He quickly put in some earphones, blasting music from his old phone in order to block out his thoughts. He didn't feel like listening to what they had to say today.

Jimin arrived at school, instantly feeling eyes burning into him. He ignored it and walked straight up to his friend, Jungkook. As bad as it sounded, he felt as if the boy was his only friend. Everyone else treated him like an illness you would catch if you dared to go near him.

He smiled slightly as he watched Jungkook turn around, a bunny toothed smile spreading across his face instantly at the presence of the shorter boy.

"Hey, hyung." Jimin smiled more seeing Jungkook enjoy his company. "Hey, Chim." Jungkook chirped, "How was your night?" Jimin shrugged as they both began walking to their first class.
"Same as usual, really." Jungkook nodded slightly before glancing at the shorter, concern making its way into his heart as he saw the covered up gash on his lip. "I guess that's somewhat good.." Jungkook mumbled. Jimin nodded, "Yeah."

Silence consumed the air as they grew tense and uncomfortable.

"So.. Anything interesting happen lately?" Jimin tilted his head.
Jungkook took a pause before shaking his head, "Not quite. Have you heard about that weird rumour going around?" Jimin furrowed his eyebrows. "No, what weird rumour..?" Jimin grew worried. It wasn't another one about him was it?
"Apparently people have been seeing some pretty freaky stuff by the beach. You know, the one by that forest we used to hang out at." Jungkook glanced over at Jimin, seeing his expression turn from worried to humoured. "Really, hyung? I bet it's a load of bullshit." Jimin laughed.

"But Jiminie!" Jungkook whined, "I'm serious! There's some really weird things going on. I heard that some girl saw a giant creature animal thing running around in there." Jimin laughed again. "Come on, it's clearly fake. Some giant creature animal thing? I can almost taste the bullshit." Jimin rolled his eyes.

"Fine, whatever you say. I might go looking around though." Jungkook states with a determined smile. He was always a sucker for mysterious things. Whenever there was some kind of rumour going around, Jungkook would usually try to come up with some kind of theory or find the answer to it.
Jimin shrugged, "Okay, but you might be disappointed."
The older just rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, I know. But anyway, see you later?" Jimin smiled. "See you later."

They both waved each other goodbye before heading to their separate classes, Jungkook with a smile on his face, and Jimin with a look of dread in his eyes.
