Ever get that classic moment of 'What the fuck am I doing with my life?'
Well, that's current what's running though Jimin's head.
Jungkook had gifted Jimin with the task of keeping 'Yoongi' distracted while he moved a few things around, so that's just what he did.
He wrapped himself around one of Yoongi's arms and held on for dear life.
The last ten minutes had consisted of being shaken about and sniffed at, even nibbled a few times. It was a mix of both utterly terrifying and fun.
Jungkook finished his attempt to cover the cave and mask it as a hill or small mountain, disguising it better than he thought he would. He nodded proudly at his masterpiece before turning to look at the younger, grinning when he saw the horrified expression on his face as he was thrown about on Yoongi's paw.
"ArE yoU- wOAH! DoNe yEt!?" Jimin strained out, holding onto Yoongi tighter as he got more aggressive.
"Hmmm.. Gimme another five minutes for good measure.' Jungkook winked, cackling when Jimin's face turned to one of frustration, "gET ME OFF THIS THING, YOU FUCKER!" He screamed, yelping when Yoongi suddenly jolted his paw up.
"Please, this isn't funny anymore!" Jimin's eyes began to tear up, his frustrations starting to get the better of him. Jungkook laughed lightly before approaching, patting one on Yoongi's paws. "C'mon, let the poor guy down."
Yoongi let out a small huff before placing his currently lifted paw to the ground below, watching Jungkook's every move.
Jimin let out a sigh of pure relief as he climbed off of Yoongi, instantly limping away toward Jungkook. The older gave Jimin's shoulder a light pat, "You're fine, see? Nothing to get stressed about." He smiled, "Yeah right, fuck you." Jimin mumbled under his breath, the older letting out a laugh at the comment.
"What happens if someone finds him?" Jimin questions aloud, glancing up at Jungkook for an answer. The older just shrugs and places his hands in his pockets, "Depends. They either get killed or eaten alive, or they get away and report him to the police. You can probably guess what comes after that."
Jimin tilts head in confusion before Jungkook let's out a small sigh, "They either take him into custody and experiment on him, or they kill him and dump the corpse."
Jimin's breath hitched at this. They wouldn't, would they? Surely they wouldn't. It would be inhumane to just kill something like that. Sure, the monsters nothing short of.. terrifying. But that doesn't mean it doesn't have some kind of role, some kind of purpose in their current world. It had to be here for a reason, right?
"It's kinda unlikely to happen though, no one comes in here anymore. Plus, everyone seems to think the rumours are something some child made up. Nobody should come looking for him... Hopefully." Jungkook nervously chewed on his lip, preying he's right.
Jimin nods in agreement, looking back over to Yoongi. He was sat watching the two of them talk, almost like he wanted to know what they were going on about. They seemed nervous.. worried, almost? Oh well, it couldn't be anything that important.
"While we're on the topic of serious things.. What's going on with your mom, Jimin?"
Jimin's blood ran cold at this. "What do you mean? You already know what goes on."
"I have an idea, but you don't tell me anything. Don't think I haven't noticed your eye and your lip, the swelling's too obvious. And your ankle! For God's sake, you're like a newborn deer, Jimin!"
"I don't wanna talk about it." Jimin turned away, hiding his face from the older. The swelling wasn't that bad, was it? He hadn't paid much attention to that.
"Jimin, she can't keep treating you like this! It's not right, you need to tell someone!" Jungkook was being persistent, this happened too often. He swore he saw a new mark on the younger everyday, little or big. When he had first confronted the younger he had denied everything, using excuses such as 'I ran into a door' or 'I fell down the stairs' but Jungkook could see right through it. You can only do these things so many times before you learn to avoid them, it's natural.
It wasn't until after a few years of questioning Jimin that he finally broke and told the older everything while they were hanging out. Jungkook had ended up bringing him home to calm him down, and let's just say it was an incredibly long night full of story's, tears, and Jungkook refusing to let Jimin go home to his mother.
"I've got it under control, Jungkook. Please, just let it go," Jimin stated quietly, wanting the discussion over and done with. "Jimin," Jungkook sighed. He had heard those words far too many times.
"Something needs to be done and you know it." Jungkook places a hand on Jimin's shoulder, pulling him to look at the older.
"There's nothing to be done!" Jimin slaps the older's hand away from him before stepping away. "Just drop it for fucks sake!" His eyes began to well up making him turn away again. "Just leave it be."
Jungkook stays quiet before lowering his hand, a frown evident on his face, letting out a soft "I'm sorry."
Tears ran down Jimin's cheeks, washing away the makeup covering his bruised eye. He let out a small hum of acknowledgement before wiping his eyes with his shirt sleeve, sniffling.
Yoongi stood and watched the scene play out, ears drooping. He had no idea what was happening, but he could sense the sadness coming off of the pair. He ducked down so his head was on their level and let out a small, almost worried, grunt.
The two looked at the creature, confusion clear on their faces. He looked closely at Jimin, seeing the little runs of water coming from his eyes. Yoongi slowly unfolded a wing before brining it forward and toward Jimin.
The younger panicked slightly at the sudden movement, thinking the creature was about to attack for some reason. Maybe his crying had disturbed him?
Jimin flinched and shut his eyes as the wing came closer to him, until he felt something. He peeked an eye open and felt Yoongi running the feathers across his right cheek, confused worry clear in his eyes.
Jimin smiled lightly, "Thanks, you scary little ball of fluff."
