Students started filling into the assembly halls from both doors. It was the morning right before the students set off on the camping trip. Usually I was late for most assemblies but today I was early. I took off my coat as Lyra sat next to me.
"Hey, you excited?" She asked shrugging of her back pack. I grinned in return. Excited didn't even begin do describe what I was feeling.
"You bet. Had to draw in every favor Liam owed me to go on this trip, Xander and I." I said as Ruby scooted past people to sit on the other side of me.
"Sup." She greeted getting comfortable ,"and don't you dare say the sky." She narrowed her eyes at me.
"Okay," I said" the ceiling." A bunch of people start screaming 'OHHHHHHHHHHHH!' inside my head.
"Why you lil-" Ruby was cut off when something start playing on the big screen at the front of the hall.
It was someone signing firefly from Barbie. The whole hall erupted into fits of laughter as I realised what was happening. Some poor soul was caught off guard singing. I saw Maddie slip away from the projector. Of course. I chuckled a bit as the clueless girl in the clip continued singing. I felt bad of her but everyone laughing made me laugh a little. I saw Lyra sink into her seat while her seat ate her up. She had a look of pure dread on her face and pulled up her coat so it covered half her face.
Hm?
I looked at the screen properly for the first time as the girl did a little twirl giving her a good view of her face.
Darn it.
It was Lyra.
