You're not the type to be classified as "the shy girl", but generally in most situations, you prefer to be hidden in the shadows, staying reserved and out of trouble.
But when you found out about Jimin's cruel past, the pain that still haunted him and lingered in his eyes to this very day, all that went out of the window. You felt such a strong urge pushing you to help the man that you couldn't help but comply.
And that's why you had just explained the whole idea to these two men that you barely knew, praying that they would agree to help you. To help Jimin.
Your heart soared when after a minute of silence, Namjoon finally spoke up, agreeing to join. As one of Jimin's friends, he had actually been thinking of a way to help, but he couldn't come up with one as good as yours.
Yoongi, however, was a completely different story. His face scrunched up in disgust, and he scowled at you and Namjoon. Extremely reluctant to agree with you, Namjoon had to nudge him a bit.
Halfway through your conversation after your explanation, Yoongi had drawled out in a rather loud voice that he had to go to an important business meeting, getting up and leaving before you or Namjoon could utter a word.
What business meetings would a wine dealer need to go to, anyway?
Nevertheless, you didn't just leave. You were curious to learn about everything and anything that could help, so chatting with Namjoon could obviously offer that.
You chatted with Namjoon briefly, not digging into too deep of conversations. You were still trying to learn about the man before you could trust him completely, but from your short analysis, you could tell he was a good man with good intentions.
What you didn't expect him to do, however, was to actually officially sign up to help, getting your number as long as the details of your plan.
You were so shocked you almost fell off the couch, barely holding yourself in place, eyes wide and awed.
"I can help you out. Jimin's helped me too many times to count, this is the least I can do for him." Namjoon sighed, leaning against the couch and looking upwards, deep in thought. He felt uncomfortable under your unwavering gaze and shifted.
"You do know that I am part of the Black Society, so I can help you out much better than any other person with the surname Kim, right?"
Your eyes widened even more as you processed that. Certainly, he was right. If he was part of that society, he could give you much more details and be a big help. So, reluctantly, you nodded and handed him your number, before he left, claiming that he, too, had to go to a business meeting.
You frowned to yourself. What's up with these people and business meetings, anyway?
Sinking into the couch as you watched the tall lean silhouette of Namjoon exit the longue, you smiled in satisfaction, thinking of how you had finally got a firmer grasp of the situation, and more people to help.
Your eyes wandered and stopped at Jimin's office, wondering for a while whether you should go and break the good news to him. Surely, he had time for you, especially for news regarding the plan.
Convincing yourself he would be free, you got up and quietly walked up to his door, deciding against knocking as you guys were pretty good friends now.
But however, what you saw in his room wasn't what you were expecting.
There, sitting in his gigantic office chair, was Jimin. His small hands framed his face, as soft sobs could be heard coming from him. His usually slick and stylishly messy hair was now sticking out in odd directions, like a black sea urchin.
