Today Bethany got ahold of my note to you yesterday. She told me that she didn't like me as anything other than a friend. I was relieved and a little embarassed. It turns out she's dating a kid named Leo. He's pretty cool, actually. But Beth (she told me to call her Beth instead of Bethany?) said, and I quote, 'Chadd, we can still be BFFs.' She's a strange one, that Beth. It was actually a really good day until I saw you glaring at us from across the lunch room.
